Mine doesn't stand up straight, it slouches over.

If you aren't going to use it in water, put a dab of silicone (if you want to be able to undo it) on his butt and stick his "coat tail" to it.

Thanks Mike

You could also use dbl stick tape. The kind with a thin piece of foam between the sticky sides.

I had one as a kid, lots of times, he was just bent over with the bubbles coming out from behind him.

That's due to gas from a diet rich in seafood.

That method is known as "Kardashianing"

I cut a strip of Saran Wrap about 3/4" wide and just wrapped it around his waist two times to make him stand up straight.  Seemed to work pretty well.  It's reversable, not too noticeable and doesn't do any damage.

I received my first three today two were perfect, and one had two broken claws and a dented bubble. Came in a padded envelope but they were packed in bubble wrap and foam on the inside of the bubble. Still waiting on two I had ordered a day before these. Still showing in chicago on the tracking? Went ahead and ordered three more to use for presents to friends!  These are definitely a warehouse find I would say, I wonder why they never made it out? Licensing issues maybe?
Its strange that penn plax had been asked by several people  if they would re release this creature and had said no, and they obviously had.
Also I wonder how many were produced in this "1999" run?
They are quite nice and I cant help but think they will devalue the original release.  (I have 3 originals, 1 boxed, 1 loose with stomach fin,, and 1 loose black one.)
Much like the big frankie model re release did, they plummeted after mobius remade it. Many people who longed for these and thought of them as grails, and  were satisfied with the remakes, And interest in finding an original was lost. These were bringing Well over $1,000  before, and Ive bought 2 originals with original boxes in the last few years for around $200 each.
We all go a little mad sometimes.

It seems pretty obvious that the base was not made for this figure. The Creature has just been glued on with a couple of big globs of silicone. I wonder what (if anything) originally went with the base?

The fig. also has an extra set of arm fins and the glow eyes, but otherwise looks like the original.

They have a copyright date of 1999 on them.
