I really don't know him that well, I even doubt he really knows me on this site at all.

However I'm sadden by this news today as it reminds me that many people of yesterday will be gone, as soon to be replaced by the others that is not the same people that we once know enjoyed their company and kindness.

Still, nothing can replace Mark Stamper better known as Unknown Primate here. Unique and strange creatures like him will never be replaced, it can't be helped. God bless his soul, long as his friends, UMA friends, and his family will still remember him greatly and keep his name alive by word of mouth online and offline.

I must admit that he does have interesting sense of humor that I will missed even time I come to this site.

Very sad news indeed.  He, his positivity, and his wonderful and witty posts will be missed by all of us.

Yes. He was always so positive! He brought cheer to the board.

I am so deeply saddened at this news, I myself have had a very bad time last year and wished for that year to end, however the loss of one of one of my dearest friends pales my worries. Mark was a true gentleman and enjoyed life, and THAT humour of his will be forever irreplaceable. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this sad time he will be missed, in fact I have tears swelling up in my eyes as I write this in his memory. Godspeed my friend and if God willing you should get a chance to visit me in spirit form, I'll leave a cool beer aside by the fire.

He wanted everyone to be happy and loved sharing his passion for monsters with his friends. If you were down (as I was so much of last year), he wanted to do what he could to lift you up! There's not enough of that in the world, anymore. That's one of the best ways we can honor his memory. If someone you know is down, do what you can, no matter how seemingly small, to help cheer them up. And think of that big ol' Golden Gorilla as you do it.

As everyone else has already said, this is terribly sad news.  That I can recall, Mark is the 5th member that the UMA has lost.  Of course, he won't be the last, but hopefully these tragic events will be infrequent and much later on.  For now, we can only mourn his passing.

He was such a big-hearted bear of a man.  Unquestionably, one of our members whose passion for the hobby was effervescent and contagious.    He was certainly talented and was modest about that talent.  He had a zest for life, friends, and family.  He leaves behind a huge gap in our hearts.  Wish I had gotten to know him better or even to meet him in person.

I have only just met Mark thru our mutual love of Bigfoots and Cryptos, especially Mothman, he had started a thread for me and the crypts and was super friendly with me.
He loved my stuff and I was greatful to read his wonderful thread comments and emails to me.
Man, I will miss this new friend terribly.

with a heavy heart.
Goodbye my new friend, I barely got to know you.

this pic is for you Mark, you liked him so much, I would have sent him to you sooner or later.

Hugo, Mark would have liked that big guy but I don't think the shoulders are broad enough to carry the love and friendship UP gave to others. If I know Mark he would have said "What are you trying to say...I'm not fat I'm just big boned". Rest easy my brother.

This is a sad surprise. I liked Mark a lot. He shared my love of Bigfoot and Gordon Lightfoot. A strange combination. I met him twice at Horrorhound. He was a friendly guy. I will miss his presence here.
