I love this movie.  I think it is a charming combination of comedy and some very dark story elements. It stars Tom Hanks, Rick Ducommun and Bruce Dern.  It didn't play in theaters very long and has not played on TV often enough to build the fan base it deserves.

It was directed by Joe Dante, who also gave us "Matinee" with John Goodman.

I don't even have a Blu-Ray player yet.  But, Blu-Ray releases are usually accompanied by new DVD releases with improved picture quality and extras like commentaries that were never included with the older DVD releases.

Tom Hanks is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood (but also one of the blandest actors around).

LOVE this movie! The Burbs is one of the movies we quote waaaay too often in my family. I need it on BLURAY!!!  I shall sign!
