Finally, the Betty Boop cartoons have arrived on DVD! Olive Films just put out the first collection of restored BB with V2 following next month. 12 toons for $29.99 (SRP) is a bit pricey, compared to the Popeye sets, so I hope they sell well enough to continue! If not, I still have the VHS set to fall back on. I was gonna make DVDs from those, till this came along. Buy Boop!

BluRay is $24.99, DVD is $19.99 at amazon. Deep Discount has them at $18 and $16.

No BOOP fans!?

Just got V1 and the cover says there will be 3 more. At 12 toons per volume, that will make a total of 48. There are around 125 Betty Boop appearances, in her own series as well as the TALKARTOONS (24ish) and SCREEN SONGS (12ish). So, I guess I'm going to be burning some DVDs from the VHS set after all.

Aw, I love Betty Boop!  I have some cool collector cards they put out in the mid-90's.
Beautiful moving, shifting colors!

I'm sure it will happen, some day, but I couldn't wait that long.  ;D
