Wow, good for you Mike...congrats! The story that goes with it is as cool as the item itself...nice to see it found a good home!

HOLY COW!! I REMEMBER TRADERS WORLD!! I WENT TO COLLEGE IN SOUTHERN OHIO AND HAD FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT THAT PLACE! I REMEMBER I GOT A MEGO DRACULA THERE BACK IN 1995 when I first started re-collecting! Nice to hear it's still around.

Matt

Yup. Not quite as many good finds or "our stuff" dealers there. But its still there. What is it about the mid-west? Many monster collectors here. Plus, we had Horror hosts Dr. Creep, Cool Ghoul, and Sammy Terry. I am sure more than those---but thats the big 3 I remember.

What about Ghoulardi out of Cleveland? Does he count as being out of the misnamed Mid-West?

???

"I am sure more than those---but thats the big 3 I remember" was stated, lol. I never saw Ghoulardi. I am in no way resposible for mis-naming the geographical regions of the United States. I have only been on Earth since 1970. In related news: American Indians arent actually Indians at all...but, ya know, what do you do? 8)

That's a great story Mike, congratulations.
I have to ask - have you played it yet, and how is it?

Universal Steve

I never saw the show but have heard of Ghoul. It is always great to get a rare item for your collection and always nice to make a friend.Congratulations on both.

Chris, I have had the material as mp3's for a couple of years. Eventually I do want to play the actual record just to hear it. The vinyl is in sort of rough shape, but hearing the ticks and pops is part of the charm of vinyl to me.

It is truly fantastic when a collector finally locates a holly grail piece. Great score. Very groovy.

I am the producer of "Nightmare City Halloween" the longest running Halloween radio show, since 1979. I have what may be the largest collection of Halloween audio on the planet, but an original "The Cool Ghoul's Phantasmagorical Funky Fonograf Record" has eluded me until today, when I scored an absolute mint copy on eBay. Good things do come to those who patiently wait and wait and wait. BTW, I do have "Monster Mash With Dr. Shock", also pictured in this thread. Here's a small sampling of my collection: http://siysradio.com/albums.html

Wow!!! That's quite a collection! Some of those I know about, other ones I'm going to have to track down.
