This is the Creature from the best video store UM standees. Great art and only a small MCA graphic at the bottom.

QuoteHere is the 1998 video release promo card. Anyone get that one? 10"X16" much smaller

I still have this piece, too. I used to have the entire display that held the videos, as well; but it was just to big to keep.
When times are dark, don't consider art to be merely a distraction; rather, think of it as a lifeline-  Neil Gaiman paraphrase.

Here's one line of commercial standees.

Somebody altered the face on this one to avoid paying royalties.

A Lugosi/Dracula standee from 1997 and a Wolf Man that looks like it could be from the same batch.

Anybody know which VHS release the Creature standee above was used for? It wasn't the ones with the movie poster covers. It's probably the CLASSIC COLLECTION releases.

Here are the Pepsi 12-Pack Carton cutout panels for 1992's Monster Bash promotion:

Here is the 24-Pack art featuring Frankenstein in the foreground:

You can see the slight difference in Frank's left shoulder and the apparent size of the scissors image in the corner.

(Hope no one minds me dragging this thread back to actual free monster items.  We really need to start a separate thread dedicated to monster-themed advertising and store displays.  It could be a rich topic.)

The latest DVD promo came with free movie tickets so I feel that more than qualifies for the title of the thread and the related advertising was really cool. Advertising is advertising free or not, whether on a Pepsi promo or a DVD header. If we are splitting hairs why not separate them all out and make a happy meal toys post, a printed ad post, a give away offers post etc. if you feel the topic has strayed far from pure? Movie advertising was free for the asking I.E. Free Monsters.

I enjoyed "Creepshow" when it came out in 1982.  But my theater didn't hand out this cool 7 in. waxed cup.

Now I feel cheated.
