aura of foreboding

This is the only one I have ever seen.  They are considerably more rare than the 12 packs.

Were the promotions just on Pepsi cases or could there be a Mountain Dew variant out there?

They were on Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi  and Mountain Dew cartons.

Check out the earlier entries in this thread - around page 6 or so.

Just got a couple of these cup holders, and it is amazing how nice they are -- big, heavy, sturdy, well-sculpted and colored -- one of the best-produced premiums ever (unlike the namesake film, Ferris Bueller Meets Godzilla).
"Do you know what I've got in those crates?"

I got this when it first came out.  I remember, as I was visiting Universal Studios in Orlando.  I have no idea where it went...  But, it's nice to see it again... if only in pictures.

I always find that amazing as well that some of these free premiums are better quality than the store bought toys of equal value.

And so often they exceed the value of the food purchased.

Monsters For Sale

This item properly belongs to the Vintage Monsters section, but I am including it here to keep all the FREE MONSTERS items together.

Here is an interesting freebie.  This Frankenstein mask is part of an event folder that was produced for movie theatres wanting to hold Halloween midnight shows - OCTOBER 31st, 1959!

These would have gone to theatre chains and independent theater owners over 50 years ago.

The Hammer Frankenstein mask is just one item in this cool promotional packet.  Unfortunately the eBay auction pictures were all out of focus to one degree or another.  I include all four pictures since some of the information can still be read.

I would have liked to buy this folder and run clear copies to share here, but the seller listed it with a Buy-It-Now price of $99.00 and it is a little generic to fit in my collection.

Maybe if it had contained numerous illustrations of the classic Universal Frankenstein and posters....

Here is a link to the ended auction:

I have these two 32 oz. cups listed as being from Wendy's in 1982.  Can anybody verify the date on these?  Anyone know of any other monsters that they featured?

(Anyone have a Bride of Frankenstein cup that they want to sell?)

I like these a lot.  They have a nice mix of graphics on each.  I have just the one view of each.  Can't see any mention of Pepsi on either.  I'd like to know more about these.

Here is another cup in this set with verification of the post-1982 date.  (These were made by Louisiana Plastics, St. Louis, MO - sometime between 1983 and 1987.):

And, sure enough they are associated with Pepsi.
