It was from Pepsi-Weinersnitchel in 1989.  (Slice sodas are produced by their parent company, Pepsi.)

Here is the back of the glass with their logos:

Since the Bates house is shown, it must have been a tie-in with the Halloween activities at Universal that year.

Very pretty!  Does it glow in the dark?
It doesn't glow in the dark, but I spend so much time looking at the front, I really don't look that much at the back.  I probably got mine at Weinersnitzel.  And, yes, it did indeed involve Universal Hollywood at Halloween.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Here's a favorite of mine.  I can't remeber what product this promoted, but the winner got to meat Elvira, and spend the night at the Bates Motel.  Two of my favorite horrors on one cup.

The winner got to "meat" Elvira?? Wow, how did they talk her into that???   :P ;D ;)
"Do you know what I've got in those crates?"

Dude, I started to pounce on this typo and fought the urge. I'm glad somebody had the stones to do it. Good on you Mr. McDougal. ;)

General Cinema gave these super buckets away with their popcorn.  Not just a give-a-way, these were also meant to be a throw-a-way.  I wonder how many made the trip to a dumpster after each showing.

Does anyone know exactly what year these were made and for what occasion?  They must have been produced for some special event.  Lily Company (the paper cup folks) made these - but I did not see any Universal licensing in any of the pictures I have encountered.

This is all ONE bucket viewed all the way around:

Interesting choice for the werewolf image.

General Cinema (with Pepsi) also gave us this very pretty 32 oz. glow-in-the-dark cup.

I have the same questions about this cup.  When was it made and for what occasion?  It doesn't look like the Frankenstein image used in other Pepsi Halloween promotions - although the background is a little like what was used on some Pepsi 12-pack carton cut-out panels.

The is one cup seen from three angles (sorry about the tilting pictures - I must have been tipsy when I took them):

The Frankenstein looks like the one James Bama painted for the Aurora Gigantic Frankenstein kit while the others look like covers Basil Gogos did for Famous Monsters of Filmland. Am I correct?

???

That's correct -the Frankenstein is the James Bama Aurora Gigantic Frankenstein kit painting and the Creature and
Phantom are both by Basil Gogos previously used on Famous Monsters. I don't know who painted the Wolfman but
it wasn't Gogos or Bama.

Toy Fair 1999 attendees were treated to these Special Edition Bronze Little Big Heads:

They were so popular that they repeated the offering in 2000:

Sorry about the lousy pictures.  I thought I had good pictures of these sets, but I must have lost them when the old computer died.

Scatter's always good for dragging a thread down to the lowest common denominator.  ;)

I don't know if all of these Zoo-Pik spoons and swizzle sticks (picture from member Toy Ranch) were used in fast food outlets.  I am told some of the spoons were given out with ice cream purchases in Carvel restaurants.

Although these can be found in small retail sales bags with headers, there is evidence that they were also sold in bulk for use one-by-one.

Here is a bulk wholesale carton that sold on eBay some time past:

This 16 oz. monsters cup was issued by Pepsi with Ponderosa Restaurant.  Manufactured by Louisiana Plastics, Inc. - St. Louis, MO, it glows in the dark and features 6 VERY stylized monsters.

From stage right to left, There are the Invisible Man, Creature, Bride, Frankenstein, Wolf man and the Mummy.  (Mummy looks a little greyer in person.)

Sad note:  Even when the monsters were so wildly stylized, they STILL did not include Dracula.

The triangular design above the Invisible One's shoulder is a logo combining the one with Universal monsters in front of a circle and the one for Universal Studios Hollywood & Florida.

Anyone know what Ponderosa Restaurant is represented here and where?

What year these were made?

They did have a Dracula in this style.  He just did not appear on the cup.

These were part of the Pepsi promotion, after the "Party" Monsters I believe, so I'd say 1993-1996.  They are my least favorite of the Pepsi Universal Monsters.

Not surprising. They look horrible, and not in a good way.
