And now it belongs to me!!!! Here he is at my house during Halloween:

And here he is hanging out with my other favorite "gold giant"-- Goldar (from
The Space Giants)

And here is his non-golden brother:

Now THAT is a cool piece.  I especially like it lighted in the window for Halloween!  And a painted one!!!
If you want to view Paradise, simply look around and view it.

Looks like a rip-off of Auroras Big frankie

Is there more than one Yellow 18" Frankenstein Blowmold Bank?

Or, are we just seeing repeat pictures of the same item being passed around among collectors over the past few years?

Here's a few pics of the King Kong bank that I found on the CollectionDX website.

It IS a rip-off of Big Frankie. A wonderful
one. I think the yellow one is the same one being passed around and around. As it is now in my collection, it is unlikely, though not impossible, that it will be passed around again anytime soon.

The black one is painted with a greenish yellow paint, and it flakes off much like his Aurora recast cousin, AHI Creachie. There are a small handful of these floating around. I love having both examples. They are among the top prizes in my collection.

Interestingly enough, although they are a "Big Frankie" item, the head is much more closely modeled on the Frankenstein Soakie than on the Aurora model.

Best,

Matt

I love that Kong, btw. I hope to one day own one of those too. That Kong is the only known example thus far,

I love the big blow-mold Frankie, but I actually like the giant Kong even more. I love King Kong and "gorilla monster" toys, and of course Bigfoot toys. A giant Kong molded in black plastic would be ideal.

While visiting a collectibles shop (Gotta Have It) several years ago, I saw what I thought was a blowmold Big Frankie. I think it was off-white and came in 3 pieces (arms, and body). Now I'm thinking it might have been a re-pop of this. Has anybody heard of such a thing?

I used to be that way too, Ray. But after awhile, the gorilla toys started piling up, so I had to thin the herd (technically, troop). I try to restrict myself to gorillas with attached mini-human figures or small planes or cars. The association with Kong then is stronger for me. I got this Mexican blow-mould Kong a few months back and love it very much.

Though, I must say, the giant Kong is irresistible, if for no other reason than he clearly goes with the two Frankie's.

They got into an argument over the pattern on that cushion. The yellow one thought it was fabulous. The black one dissed the pattern. It was on.
