Midnight Syndicate tribute to Universal and Hammer Films

Hello all,

We just posted "It Lives!," the first preview track off of the upcoming CD.  I hope you enjoy it!

The video features some of the images that inspired the track.  At the end, there's a little montage of images that will give you an idea of what you can expect from the rest of the disc.   There's a heavy Hammer / Herrmann musical influence on this disc.    Take that and mix it with the sound effects and I think you have a disc that's going to be a lot of fun to listen to (especially in headphones or in a quiet darkened room).

The official release date is July 19th (Monster Bash Weekend).  In addition to the CD version, we're releasing a limited-edition 12" vinyl version which is fun.  We'll be posting more info on our website in the next week but I'll be sure to post here as well.

If the whole album is as good as this song, it may be your best album yet!! And that is saying a lot since all of your albums are amazing.

Thanks Howler.  We (more than happily) really did our homework on this one and I think it makes for a really fun disc to listen to if you're into the classics.   Looking forward to releasing it.

Got my disc today. It's great!!! Love the lite sound effects. When I saw a couple tracks had familiar titles used on other discs I was originally apprehensive. But after hearing the revisions and lovely vocals on track 10----its all good. They are very much changed.


Glad I bought this bad boy!!!!!!!!!!! I recommend it highly if you like creepy ambient music to paint monster models by or read spooky novels or comics to. GOOD STUFF.

One of the surprises we had was that in addition to 50 minutes of new music, we took 5 lesser-known tracks from our early albums and completely recreated them to help tell the story of this disc.  I'm glad you liked those too.  I think Ms. Foth's vox on "Twilight" really take that song to another level!
