I went back in time, and looked at your collection all over again! I also checked to see what charp13 from the past had to say about it all. You have really filled our eyes with so much historical goodness, Sir! I can't get over how wonderful your poster arrangement is! Your home is a place of wonder and beauty, and I am so pleased that we all have had a chance to see it all. I look forward to seeing anything else you have to share with us!  :)   It makes those of us with smaller collections/monster rooms dream big and take away some awesome decorating ideas. Thanks so much!

Hi Hepcat,
Not sure how to post pictures and my monster room is only partially finished, perhaps I can get my son to help post a few shots.  Is there a guide to posting pictures on the site?

Freddie,
The pleasure was all ours!  Your collection was incredible and you are one hell of a tour guide!  I'm humbled, that you're hoping that we'll be friends.  I was hoping that you would be so kind to even mention me in your threads and now you're hoping to be friends?  By all means!  I'm honored that you would call me friend.  Freddie, your modesty is inspiring!  You and maybe you don't realize it, are one of the legends of the UMA and the monster collecting world.  I have not seen very many collections (you're the first) but I'm sure it is the envy of all but a very few fellow members.  The very idea that you would allow a total stranger into your home to view what is an incredibly extensive, and it goes without saying valuable collection, just shows the extent of your character.  I'm amazed by your generosity!  It should be me and it is me who is hoping that he has made a new friend and found a mentor to help him in this great pursuit!  Many, many thanks!  Here's to a very long and new treasure laden friendship!  You Da Man Poe!

No Brother Hep Cat ..everything i have is in some form of encasement wether it be a plastic bag, plexi, glass, mylar sleeves, etc. none of my stuff is lying around bareazz! LOL.  As soon as i can get Jayme to shoot a new batch of pix you will all see a gang of new stuff that i have been trading some of my posters for. many new acquisitions. Soon my Brothers soon.....

Steve. I learned from Uncle Forry Ackerman not to be afraid to let strangers come to my home to see my collection. If i was the only one who ever gets to see it then it would be useless. You will be an apt pupil i'm sure. I will bring you along to a few shows with me and teach you the ropes. But i get first dibs! LOL!!

Truly awe inspiring collection, Freddie. Can't wait to see the new stuff.

Hey Hep, Freddie (and anyone else who may know),

Did these games come with outter shrink wrap? I've seen several over the years with the inside tray of figures and dice still wrapped or with the remanats, but I don't know of anyone with or any photos of the game shrinkwrapped on the outside. That coupled with the wear you see on so many of them AND that I've seen tons with price stickers on the (Richard Olson's still have their price tags, for instance, and he got them in retail stores at the time) have always lead me to wonder. Thanks, and always great to see the pics and read the discussions. Best, Shannon

Shannon aka monsieurmonkey on UMA Y!

I don't remember the board games in the sixties being shrink wrapped.

That's such a true statement. I got to see the Ackermansion in the late eighties and was amazed at all this great stuff laying out for all to see. I asked Forry if he wasn't afraid someone would steal any of it and he replied that  if you can't trust monster fans who can you trust. Such a great man and inspiration.
