THE MONSTER THAT CHALLENGED THE WORLD

Yeah.

I like this goofy little movie - even though the world is "challenged" by an over-sized, aquatic caterpillar that never leaves the Salton Sea or the nearby irrigation channels.

You don't remember these scenes?

Yeah.  But the monster didn't crawl out of the water to attack them.  The people stole some eggs that they took inside the lab where one hatched - because the little girl turned up the heat to keep the lab rabbits warm.

Had they not done that...

Face of the Curseless Man

Close enough.

I wonder how many members have seen this "Mummy" rip-off?  It came out in 1958 and played as a co-feature with "IT! the Terror From Beyond Space" - but not at my theater.  I forget what did play as a 2nd feature, but it sure wasn't this.  It must not have been on TV all that often either, because I don't think I have EVER seen it.

I've never seen "Curse of the Faceless Man", either. You can buy an "Archives" DVD=R for $20, but, eh?

Only if it is on TV (or YouTube) for free.

I liked that one , I remember it on Chiller Theater in the 60s , bought the dvd not too bad quality , faceless animated monsters were always a good fright when younger & watching horror films
