I should make a list of the missing episodes and see if I can find them elsewhere.

Quote from: horrorhunter on February 25, 2025, 03:57:05 PMStill working on Dark Shadows. Just finished episode 830 featuring the Count Petofi storyline from 1969. I watched a lot of these episodes new back in 1969 when I got home from school in the 5th grade. Those should be coming up soon.

The House of Van Helsing (2023) on TUBI. Only 6 episodes. Entertaining.

I finished the complete run of DARK SHADOWS last year..it really was quite the ride. Certainly amazing what they managed to accomplish back then for characters and storylines.
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Fun show alright! My dad and I started watching them in Autumn 1969 when he would pick me up at school. The nostalgia of somewhat indistinct memories makes watching them even more fun.

I never did buy that huge package of DS DVDs. I've been watching them on TUBI. I think Pluto TV has at least some of the DS episodes but Pluto has gotten so bad with the commercials I've pretty much given up on them. Pluto is almost as bad as Comet (which I gave up on some time ago). Hopefully TUBI won't be so greedy, but there's always You Tube. I will avoid paying for streaming with a good collection of DVDs/BDs as final backup. We can rely on our physical media collections if all else fails.

I quite agree with you on using our collections as substitutes to paying for streaming. I refuse to do as most of it is fueled by nonsense or political ideology these days. I want to be entertained, not lectured and having to pay for it is ludicrous.

As for DARK SHADOWS, I, too, used to watch it as a child with my mom and sister in the afternoons during its' initial run. Still have great memories of this.

I also finished it last year. Previously, I'd only seen from Barnabas' appearance up to a short while after Quentin appeared during the original airings. It was great finally seeing the early episodes and then the later storylines.

I spent about 20 years just watching the Barnabas stuff from his first episodes to the Leviathan story over and over. Now that I have the DVD set we are watching them all. We are up to 1154.

I never cared for the Leviathan story so quit buying the sets then, but we found the coffin boxset and bought it. Apparently there is a bootleg version so be careful if you are looking at buying it.
