Great stuff.

New little one for the monster game shelf!  There's lots of versions of this one, from animals to fables.  They finally did one that's up my alley!

The game consists of a deck of 30 unique full art monster cards, ranging from the old favorites to current archetypes like an Annabelle-esque killer doll.  The goal is to reduce the tableau of cards down to a single character, the secret character.

One player assumes the role of the clue giver, and draws a random card to determine the secret character for the game.  Then, they draw 11 more cards, shuffle them together, and form a 4x3 grid on the table, with the cards face up.  Then, the clue giver draws a hand of 5 cards from the remaining monsters, to form their hand of clues.  The clue giver can not speak.  The clue that they give is based on the card they play from their hand.  If they play a card vertically, to show that the secret character and the clue have something in common, or horizontally, to show that the secret character is in some way different to the clue they chose.  This is open entirely to the players to interpret the meaning of each clue.  For 5 rounds, guesses are made, eliminating cards until the 5th round, where it will come down to 2 cards.  If they players eliminate all but the secret character, the table wins!

Honestly, I bought this because it was pretty cheap, and I liked the art.  We'll see if we like playing it.  But it looks like a good time!

New monster game!  One of my Kickstarters from last year.  This one didn't ship in time for Christmas like originally intended, but I'm happy to have it anyway.

It's a trick taking game, based on a Japanese game about time travel (trick taking games are apparently a very popular game type in Japan.  Lots of good ones coming from there the last few years) and now given a Christmas Carol re theme focusing on the ghosts!

Lovely art.  Wish the cards were printed on proper playing card stock, but it's not the end of the world.  I also sprung for the deluxe component upgrade as it was only a few dollars extra.

So, I don't have this yet, but I'm definitely getting one, and I'm having a hard time making a decision.

We got in a huge stack of real 14" x 22" theatre posters from the 70s and 80s at work.  Among them was this Langella Dracula poster by Edward Gorey from the production of the Dracula play he did the set design for.  However, there is ALSO one with Raul Julia's name on it, as he took over the role later on.  I can't decide which to get.  What do you guys think?  I can only afford one, as it's a bit pricey.

(I'm going to dig through for other horror ones.  I know there's a Carrie one and a Frankenstein one, but neither really appealed to me.

Nice Window Card! Personally, I'd rather have the Langella card. I associate him more with the role than I do Julia.
