I'm not a massive fan of Puppet Master but those are fun toys.  I'm glad they made them.

Another one for the monster game shelf.  Abomination:  The Heir of Frankenstein is a game that functions as a sequel to the original novel.  Victor Frankenstein is dead, and the monster has decided it needs companionship and returns to the civilized world.  He press gangs each player into building him a companion, (In story, the players are not aware of each other's situation.  This is what is called a 'Euro-style' game, you compete with each other passively, instead of direct conflict).

You manage your supplies, find stocks of components to build your creature (which range from digging up bodies to straight up murdering people, which gives you the freshest components, which attracts unwanted attention from the authorities.) And try to build the best creatures possible.

The art is very nice, and properly grim and grisly, and this game has some fun moral choices to navigate.  I'm very much looking forward to playing.

That looks interesting! I'm going to have to look into getting that myself. I ordered The Fury of Dracula, but haven't had a chance to play it yet, so this would be a nice companion game.

Fury is a classic!  This one apparently has the benefit of being a shorter game at 1-2 hours.  It also doesn't take up quite as much of the extravagant amount of space that the newer edition of Fury demands (That board is huuuuge).

I also bought some more of the Super7 Keshi figures, one each of wave 1 and 2.  Managed to pull a creature out of both.  I didn't even realize he was IN both waves!  I'll take it, though.

Wave 2 is REVENGE OF THE CREATURE. Notice his manacles.

Right.  I just didn't think about him being in there again.  If anyone was getting a second version (barring phantom/red death) I would think It would be Frank.

Isn't there a "Son of Frankenstein" figure?

I believe the 12 characters in wave 1 and 2 are frank, bride, dracula, red death, wolf man, Mole man, kharis, Metaluna mutant, invisible man, phantom of the opera, creature, and revenge creature.

I must have been thinking of something else.

Another one for the Monster game shelf - The Bloody Inn!  But in this one?  MAN is the monster, baby.

Here's the blurb:  France 1831: In a remote corner of Ardèche, the little village of Peyrebeille sees numerous travelers pass through. A family of greedy rural farmers is determined to make its fortune and has devised a diabolical stratagem to achieve this goal: Invest in an inn so they can rob traveling guests, getting rich without arousing the suspicions of the police! Whether or not their plan will work out, one thing is certain: Not every guest will leave this inn alive.

And the description from BoardGameGeek:
Quote
The Bloody Inn is a card game in which you play one member of a family of greedy, murderous innkeepers. At the start of each round, cards are placed face up to fill the inn with guests. Each card carries a cost representing how many cards a player must discard from her hand in order to take an action related to that card. Certain guests have an affinity for particular actions, so those cards return to a player's hand after being discarded. Cards also show how much money, in francs, each guest possesses. A round has two phases in which players take one action each, in turn order. Players choose one of the following actions:

bribe a guest into becoming an accomplice (take a card from the inn to their hand)
build an annex (move a card from their hand to their player area; it now represents a structure under which a victim may be buried)
kill a guest (move a card from the inn to their player area, awaiting burial)
bury a victim (place an unburied victim card under an annex card and take the money from the victim's pockets)
launder money (players may only have a certain amount of cash on hand; excess must be converted to 10F checks by the local notary)

At the end of the round, if any room of the inn contains one of the police, then they conduct an investigation; if a player has any unburied victims, then he must pay 10F per victim to the local gravedigger to hurredly — and quietly — bury the bodies! Lastly in the round, any cards (accomplices) in each player's hand must be paid 1F each. After the guest deck has been depleted the second time, players take a final round, then tally their francs. The player with the most money wins!

Basically I bought this because for some reason, it evokes a Hammer Horror vibe to me, and I'm all about it.

There's also an expansion called The Carnies that adds some play variants and, of course, carnies.  I may track it down later, depending on how this one goes over.

My Silent Screamers One:12 Collective Nosferatu figure came in from Big Bad Toy Store last weekend. I'm wearing the shirt right now.

And my local Wal-Mart finally started carrying MEGO figures. They only had two kinds, Hannibal Lecter and Candyman. I picked up the latter.

The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed...

I've been waiting patiently for Walmart to carry MEGO figures
