These UniMon Halloween cards arrived today:

The set cost $30 plus cheap shipping. They look pretty sweet in person.

I checked my Target and they didn't have any...of course. So, I checked eBay and it was full of listings wanting 10 bucks each, or more, for the cards. Forget that BS. Then, I spotted one auction listing with the whole set for $30 minimum bid with cheap shipping. I'm okay with paying that for the set since the cards would have cost me over $26 anyway if I got exceptionally lucky and found them all (instead of none). Not about to undertake the fool's errand of trying to track down a set in the wild. Starting to accumulate some cool stuff. Maybe it won't be such a dry Hween after all.

Very cool! Something about the graphics reminds me of that "Monsters Old Maid" card game from the 60s.

Why, the colors and splotched backgrounds of course. Whoever designed these was clearly influenced by Monster Old Maid.

Got my Creature Rum bottle today.

Makes me want to get drunk with Captain Lucas and ogle Kay in her sleek white one-piece (and out of it, if we all get blasted sufficiently  ;)).

I dig the label. It's copied from the iconic Dell Creature comic book from the '60s.
That's definitely cool.
Wish I had 2 of each toy as a kid....1 to play with and 1 kept mint in the box!!

Yeah, I normally don't collect greeting cards but these from Target made me want 'em!

Shrewd design ploy to link them to the Monsters Old Maid cards in the Monster Kid mind. They're very cool in person, nice texture as well as appearance.

I also grabbed one of the great Frankenstein Hween cards from Walmart.  ededed

Here's a link to the seller's wares on eBay, Gojirafan. https://www.ebay.com/sch/haunted-jack/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

He specializes in custom props and will probably do more Creature Rum bottles.

Recently welcomed a couple new members to the family!   :D

"I can call you Betty, and Betty when you call me you can call me...."

And who is this mysterious fellow?  Why, it's the jiggler version of the mighty Colossus Rex, of course, emerging from his cosmic chamber!   Hen's teeth, I tell ya!

Dr. Acula

Recently acquired these fellows. They are intended to be covers for lights that you put in your yard (e.g. along the sidewalk). I don't have any such lights, but I think they make fine Halloween decorations as is. They are hard, hollow plastic and stand about 8 1/2 inches tall.

Also picked up an incomplete set of Funko Force monsters. Now I'll have to hunt for the Creature to complete the set.

I like them, too.  They have a neat, old-fashioned look.  You can always find them on eBay.

I really like the Funko Force figures.  My idea of cool monster caricatures.  Not like the big eyed baby versions today.

I see what you mean by "old fashioned"....they definitely remind me of the Russ Berrie statues from the 60s/70s....

Well the shelf/area was nearly wiped out.  The resellers apparently favor this Frank mug, as there were only THREE left (nabbed 'em all) while there were dozens of Bride, Jason, Freddy, etc. mugs.   You should really dig this mug, it's heavy, seemingly well made, and it's got a really friggin cool ghostly green vibe when you see it in person.   8)

Halloween goodies from earlier:

Just had a quick gyro, now we're headed out for round TWO!

EDIT:  Mug pic not showing up...trying again.

So they are made out of glass - cool.

I was thinking they might be cheap plastic.  I like the translucent look.

Yes sir, nice heavy green glass.  Reminds me a bit of sea glass.

I'll get your mug mummified (snicker) in bubble wrap & ready to travel....shipping day is Tuesday, so let me know if there is anything else you need before then!   8)

Nope.  All I need is that and my invoice.

Thanks so much.
