I believe there were 8 Diener Sci-Fi Monster Erasers.

They also did dino erasers and some other types.
Thanks

But only three '50s movie aliens. The fly creature is not from the movie "The Fly" as some say. There's a '60s movie monster and an Outer Limits monster, but I just wanted the three I got.

The "fly" toy is still 95% total fantasy and 5% (if any) movie fly.

Yeah, the guy's just saying it was inspired by The Fly. The Diener people freely exercised artistic license with their monster designs. I'm sure they didn't expect adults to pick this stuff apart decades later. To them it was just kid's erasers.

I should get the monsters. I have a few of the dinos but no monsters. They are pretty cool to monster geeks.

Might have come from comic books, like "Man-Bat"? Who knows!

I know most people think the Diener bat creature is supposed to be Man-Bat from DC Comics, but since the other Diener figures are based on movie monsters I think it's more likely that it was based on the Bat Demons from Horror Of The Blood Monsters (1970). I couldn't find a good still of one but here's the poster by Neal Adams. Bat Demons are at the top.

Of course there are other monster movies with humanoid bat monsters, like The Twilight People (1972) and maybe some Mexican Horror films. The Diener bat creature is probably an amalgam of any or all of those.

That fly looking monster on the poster could be the Diener bug, too?

Here's a pic of one of the Claw Creatures from the movie:

Maybe the Diener is an amalgam of this and The Fly.
