I like the little rubber "Ymir" toy! Everybody, on ebay, sells those as CFTBL.

He said it was "It came from outer space"

That's a new one! I wonder if he meant "It! The Terror From Beyond Space"? Some people think it's him, too.

The Golden puzzles were from 1990. Some were boxed (Frank, Drac, WM, Creature). Some were tray (Frank and Drac only).

I think that's a '60s Frankenstein gumball charm, no?

Earlier this week, I stopped by FYE to see if they had anything good on clearance. JAWS will always be my favorite movie, and I had been putting off picking these guys up, so today I broke down and got them. Buy one, get one free...and they were marked down to $8.99 a piece. So I threw in a HotWheels car for good measure and got the 4 of them for $18.

There is a monthly toy show in my area. Pretty cool, considering I use to live in a big city and we never had them monthly...usually every 4 months. But now I live in the boondocks and I have one to go to every first Sunday of the month. Found a couple of nice pieces today...

I was really happy to discover this one...I didn't even know these came out. Dark Shadows figures. I saw this sitting on a table at the toy show, and I thought it was a Distinctive Dummies piece. I asked the guy if it was and he had no idea what I was talking about - and he sells horror toys! This was released by Spectre Toys, and now I am left wondering. Back in the late 1990's, I was a regular on the Spawn.com toy forums. There was a guy on the forum with the name Spectre, and he was a really great sculptor. He use to come onto the forum and show off his latest custom sculpts, and he did alot of replacement heads for action figures. I saw this toy, and wondered, "Did that guy Spectre from the Spawn forum all those years back, create this toy (and company)?"

Although, this Ymir doesn't have a tail and has those striped features on the abdomen like IT!, so maybe it's a bit of a hybrid?

Got these in the mail today, UniMon Mexican Bootleg Playset Figures. As far as I know this is the whole set. I really hate that they didn't make a Creature. These come up on eBay sometimes in different colors. I'm pleased to have scored a green set.  :)

The tallest are just short of 4".

Thanks.

I know next to nothing about these, just what I've read in a couple of eBay listings. Maybe there is a Creature floating around out there. If anyone is knowledgeable about these figures please share it with us.

I messaged the seller about the figures and got this reply:

"The company did only the five monsters. It was a very small company"

I like the style of these little guys. They would make good monsters for a full size Marx/MPC/Remco style playset with 60mm figures. The monsters are a little bigger than 60mm but they should be imposing. Some Marx Bathing Beauties and Remco Blue Defenders come to mind as complimentary figures. A torch-wielding mob of angry villagers would be perfect if they could be found in 60mm. A spooky castle or haunted house would make a cool setting with maybe a scary graveyard.  tynhrt

Nice score. Do they sell them separately too?
