Had a really awesome mail day yesterday. Here's what I got!

I'm glad I started to warm up to the Diamond Select figures, because I absolutely LOVE these! The Frankenstein monster doesn't really look like Karloff to me but...I don't care! Its an awesome Frankenstein figure, probably one of the coolest I've seen! Also the hype is true about the Creech, it looks phenomenal.  I'm glad DST got their sh*t together cuz these are amazing.

I also got this guy...

And he's so big!! This figure is amazing as well, the attention to detail is great and NECA made some great decisions with making the interchangeable hands a soft rubber.  The likeness to West is really nice too.  I haven't figured out how he can stand yet though, his ankle joints seem stuck and I don't want to break them.

Tried to take a pic for scale with my dog, but she wouldn't sit near it.  If anyone's interested in this figure they're having a sale over at Big Bad Toy Store, got him for only 65 bucks. A good bat bargain.

Great looking figures! I like the Diamond Select stuff. Been buying their Marvel stuff for a while now. That Creech is perfect. I like the the Frankie too even though it's not a dead on Karloff likeness. I have this "Son of" Frankie. It's a really nice Karloff likeness. I forget who made it though as I got this before I started leaving them unopened.

That Adam West Batman is really nice too. I know what you mean about the ankles. I've had figures where the joints are stiff and your afraid to move them for fear of breaking. Congrats on the great scores!

Mord, that's why this figure is on clearence.

Your doggie is so clean and groomed...it almost doesnt look like a real dog, lol. I like the dig better than anything else I see in any of the pics. Not that there isn't some really cool stuff in the pics. The dog just wins paws down. 8)

Glenn, that's the Sideshow Son of Frank figure. I like him, the Sideshows are very nostalgic to me.

Anton, funny how you think my dog is clean looking, she is actually in need of a grooming and eye cleaning.

Mord

That Sideshow Son of Frank is dead on. I think that that & the Sideshow 12" are the very best toy representations of that character. It's funny how Sideshow is now nostalgic. It feels like it was just yesterday when I was unpacking boxes of those to put on the shelves in the store where I worked.

Sorry to make us feel old, Mord.  The Sideshow 8 inch Metaluna Mutant, Invisible Man and the big box of silver screen Little Big Heads were the very first Universal Monsters toys I ever owned! They hold a special place in my heart.

That's ok, I think those figures hold a special place in many people's hearts (including mine). I don't think DST would have done some of the figures they've done if it weren't for Sideshow paving the way. Who would have though that there would ever be figures of The Metaluna Mutant & The Mole People sitting in toy store shelves in this day & age? I'm glad you warmed up to the DSTs. While I still prefer the Sideshow versions, I enjoy having their take on our favorite monsters. There's room for everybody...the more the merrier.

I remember reading an interview by a Sideshow rep stating: "Our products won't solely consist of the same stable of 6-8 characters" I distinctly remember saying "If they make Werewolf of London....they are true fans. They gave us the ONLY licensed Werewolf of London figures. In smaller scale and 1/6. Good times. But now long gone.

You are so right, Anton. I was in heaven when they did that dead-on Karloff Ardeth Bey (not to mention, the March Mr. Hyde). Good times indeed.

I didn't know the Creature knew Kung-Fu?
I guess you could say he's a Black (lagoon) Belt.

Mike, who do you think taught Bruce Lee everything he knows? Creech has been around for like millions of years.
