Want a more realistic version? Just pull the head off the regular figure. Instant custom!
Want an even more realistic version than that?  Take the entire figure off the blister card and glue back the empty bister.

I picked up NECA 7" Iron Maiden "Killers" Eddie figure. It's pretty sick. I'll post image in the Monsters of Rock thread soon.

Ordered the Mezco stylized Mummy and the DST Karloff "Son of Frankenstein" for 1/3 off at TRU.com  FULLY expect less than mint packaging, but at that price, these will be for display.  BTW, the SOF is the figure only on a VERY simple base so after the discount the price was only $10. Wondering if any of the other DST figure had this "frills free" type of release?

The more things change, the more they stay the same...

They all did, actually. Remember series one? The T'R'U version of the Creature came on a small base (no Kay figure), The Mummy had no sarcophagus, Phantom had no organ (insert joke here), Dracula had no wolf, no lab table for 1st Frankie etc. Check out the DST section at the top of the Modern Toys section. All the pics are there.

Some were different enuff to want both too...prefer the "angry" Drac head sculpt...the Mummy actually has articulation...Phantom etc

True. I bought both versions until the last series (loved that Mr. Hyde rooftop base). I didn't see any reason to hunt after Creech & Frank when all they offered was a plain base.

Santa brought me a Mezco Greaser Rebel Frankenstein.  The amount of detail on this little guy is really impressive!  From his greasy fingernails, the bicep tattoo of his Bride, the real chain wallet, working zipper and belt, and the "1931" on his back patch.  I was really surprised that his shirt and jacket come off to reveal that his torso is also translucent, and painted/sculpted with stitches and cuts.
He helped me work on the Edsel over the weekend!
But first he got a little handsy with my grille ornament.

Then a little carb tuning:

Helping me pull the valve covers:

Cruising for hot (donor) bodies:

The 1931 back patch is a very cool detail:

His body work all done, time to clean up:

I just think this one looked cool:

Frank is very cool!
Thanks! I'm very happy with him.  I like to think he'd help me around the car in a Small Soldiers scenario, although he'd probably be begrudging with lots of Lurch moans, and a voice somewhere between Wolfman Jack and the Dr in Mad Monster Party. :)
