Every time that guy put that light string up for sale, I'd look at it and think, I just can't bring myself to pay $100 for it. 

Yeah, I watched them for a LONG time before I just said screw it I'm buying. I was waiting and waiting for another one to pop up for a more reasonable price but they must be somewhat rare I guess?

Same here! Of course, now that you bought that one, everybody will want $100 for theirs.

Back in the 1990's I got two sets of the UM string lights from Spencer's Gifts (the ones that had Frankenstein, Dracula & the Wolf Man). But I always wanted to get a Creature set to intermingle with mine. The CFTBL ones have always been expensive, but I never knew that they went up that high.

Finally completed my collection of FILMFAX by getting the hard to find (at a decent price) issue #2. It's in pretty good condition and I got it for $20 shipped!    In NM cond. they can go for well over $100.

I have a few dozen canes already but that would be nice to have as well.

Sometimes its best to  pay a bit more just to have the item and avoid stress.   Esp now, anything vintage (20 years) besides the Sideshows and a few rack items are getting tougher and tougher to find.       

Stuff that was dime a dozen 10 years ago doesn't show up much now.
