What's it do?

Flashes 32 lights.  Hopefully while rotating. I did not make the time to buy 3 AA batteries for it tonight.

My Frankie Poser needs a friend too.  :) Cool score! The Wolfman is much harder to find and when you do they cost a lot.
I got lucky on my Wolfman Pozer. I bought him a few years ago when they were blowing them out at Toy Liquidators for 15 bucks. That's around the time they were blowing out X-Plus Harryhausen figures dirt cheap and I scored a few of those as well. Toy Liquidators were part of Kay-Bee Toys and those are all gone now.

Weird how at certain times in our collecting lives we stumble on these finds that turn out to be a big deal years later when the aftermarket prices start to soar. I'm glad I bought so much of what non-collectors considered "junk" over the years. I just bought what I liked, and most of it turned out to be what other collectors like as well. When in doubt buy it. Most of my regrets are the things I didn't buy when I had the chance.

Today, I bought Tales to Astonish #96 which was published October 1967 and in that year cost only twelve cents. I paid ten dollars for said comic and was taking it out of its bag and board in order to scan it. What happened next  taught me a valuable lesson that I will not soon forget. From this day forward, I will never foolishly think that any piece of tape sticking out from the flap of a comic book bag will never find its way onto the front of the book while its contents is being removed. Sadly, I learned this lesson the hard when I found myself faced with this scenario. My attempt to carefully remove the tape did significant damage to the blurb in the bottom right corner of the cover. What makes this unfortunate outcome more painful is the fact that just moments prior to effectively devaluing a most recent purchase I practically made the same mistake with the first appearance of Deathlok but the consequence was much less severe. In Hindsight, even leaving the tape on the issue's surface would have been a better alternative as this Silver Age collectible now has two additional defects. I actually put more tape on to try and salvage some of the harm done to my once nice looking display piece, reducing it to a lowly reading copy by receiving the honor of what graders call an "amatuer repair". Thinking about what I could have done to prevent this mishap makes me want to cry  :'(

OUCH!

What I do is fold over one end of the tape, to make it easy to remove. When I want to remove a mag, I completely remove the tape from the flap and stick it on the outside of the bag for safekeeping till I'm ready to close it.

TAPE IS THE COLLECTOR'S ENEMY!!!

Sorry for being loud but I HATE tape with a passion. As Mike stated, it's best to completely remove the tape from the flap before removing the comic/mag. I keep mine in thin mylar bags (Arklites) and instead of tape I use very small labels which come off easily. Tape leeches into mylar and becomes very hard to remove later, so it's a poor option for holding flaps.

I really despise that damn messy "security tape" on DVDs. What a crock.. most of 'em are 5-10 bucks now, and shrinkwrapped::)

I feel your pain my friend. On the rare occasion, I will receive a figure in mint condition inside the original box. Sometimes while trying to find a spot for it or even if I want to re arrange items in the monster room, there will be accidents. Like I'll put the box on the floor while clearing off some space on a shelf. Then something will fall off the shelf and drop on the box making a mark or a dent. Actually, this happens to me often, so I don't mess with the stuff in the monster often. Seems like when I try to re arrange or do something in there, something gets damaged.

Tape leeches into mylar and becomes very hard to remove later,

Use Scotch "Magic" tape.

I like to keep tape as far away from my books as possible. Those little labels are much less likely to cause problems. I believe in the idea that if something can go wrong it eventually will, so I like to avoid the possibility of problems.

Another option is self sealing bags.
