FACTO2

I forget this was on tonight.  Anyone watch it?  Comments (there's a loaded question)?

Ditto! In fact, I missed this and the fifth season premiere of Bravo's "Tabatha Takes Over." And, usually, Bravo rebroadcasts it, but not tonight, for some weird reason. :-[
Dammit, and I missed the season premiere of "NY Ink" last night, too! I only just found out they were bringing it back. Don't they PROMOTE shows anymore? "Hannibal" was the only one I knew about in advance!

We missed the premeir as well.  I'm guessing NBC felt a lot of folks missed it because originally when I realized that we missed it I did a guide search for it and all that came up was the new episode, on Thursday (which according to the schedule is episode 3 but it is actually only the 2nd episode aired).....anyway......I did a search again yesterday and noticed that NBC had scheduled a repeat of the premeir on Wednesday, April 10th!

So long story short tune in to NBC tomorrow night (check local listings), I've read that it is the bloodiest show on network television!

zombiehorror

Did anyone get to catch the repeat last night!?  We had severe storms roll thru so the entire 9-10 o'clock hour was all weather coverage!  Looks like I'll have to watch it online.

FACTO2

Caught up.  I'm hooked.  Very different take on Will.  At least different from the books and the movies.  But still works.  More difficult to accept Mikkelsen as Hannibal but I got used to it.  I'll say this, after watching the second episode I'll never eat mushrooms again.  Good creepy stuff.

I am really enjoying the show too. Mikkelson is really creepy as Hannibal and completely different than Anthony Hopkins, but that's really a good thing. I wouldn't want to see someone imitating Hopkins.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

"NBC's Missing HANNIBAL Episode Repurposed As Webisodes!! Watch The First Segment Right Here Right Now!!"

"The recent real-life unpleasantness with children and guns has caused NBC and series mastermind Bryan Fuller to pull the fourth episode of "Hannibal" (the fifth episode will air tomorrow in its stead) – but the fourth episode, titled "Ceuf," contained some important material relevant to upcoming episodes.

So now Fuller and NBC have cannibalized the episode, if you will, for a series of webisodes that will help bring us up to speed."

The entire episode 4, all six "webisodes"are up now at http://www.nbc.com/hannibal/video/ceuf-part-1/n35825/

FACTO2

Good stuff.  Fills in a lot of blanks between last week's episode and this week's.  Hope they eventually make the entire episode available.  Maybe on the DVD set.

Yeah they basically took out the "serial killer of the week" aspect of the show!

FACTO2

Which was a very interesting concept.  A teacher trying to train her students to become killers.  That's pretty clever.  I completely understand not wanting to air it in light of recent real life situations but still, a cool story.  I'd love to see it.   :)

the ugly insect

I'm a huge fan of Bryan Fuller, love all his shows including his Munsters reimagining Mockingbird Lane, but I'm about ready to give up on this show. For one Hugh Dancy overacts something terrible on this show...every scene he looks like he's practically convulsing, with all the trembling and shaking regardless of what's transpiring in any given scene. Every scene with him is comically melodramatic. Add to that Fuller seems to have no knowledge of criminal psychology, as all his killers and their motivations seem to have been plucked out of a comic book. They all have these outrageous M.O.s -its not scary it just comes off silly. Not to mention Will Grahm's "ability" to "step into the mind" of killers comes off almost like a superpower rather than a product of actual psychological insight.

I think the show's worst offense though is there is just no suspense whatsoever. Every episode introduces the new serial killer of the week and then 15 minutes later we learn their identity, another twenty minutes later the suspect's caught/killed.  I almost think the show would have been better off focusing on one killer throughout the season and at least build up a little suspense. Just really formulaic stuff here. Such a shame as I had high hopes for this.

That's what is has been doing.  The main killer is Hannibal.  Everybody else is secondary.
