No, but she works in the Quality Assurance department at AT&T - make of that as you will. . . . :)

Aren't they doing a Wave 4 in b/w?

I don't know for sure that we'll do a fourth Legacy Series. But I don't see why not.

The action figure guy at TRU says they still havent got them into his store as yet. but a store 30 miles from me has them. Guess I am taking a little road trip tomorrow. ::)

Mord

Good luck, but I would call and have them hold them for you (they usually only stock 2 of each).

Universal Steve

I am going to try and stop by our TRU tomorrow and see if they have them yet.

I bought my first Diamond Select figure tonight. I went to three Toys R Us stores looking for the Retro Cloth figures. The store had them and the Select figures. I bought the Select Mr. Hyde. I don't know if he is deluxe version, mediocre version, extra parts, missing parts, whatever. I never kept that stuff straight. But now I finally own a Diamond Select figure.

I like his head. It looks like the Aurora kit. Everything looks cool, except for that weird illustration of his face on the lower right corner of the package. I don't care for that illustration. But the figure is nice. He's staying in the package, so I don't really care if he's posable or whatnot. I do wish I could get a whiff of this notoriously strong plastic smell that others have experienced. I do like that new toy smell when you first open a package. But I'm not opening this package.

My main objective was to find the Retro Cloth Phantom and Mutant, which I happily accomplished. Mutant was cool, but I can only get so excited about a Metaluna Mutant figure. The real prize was the Phantom. I liked him so much, I bought two. One to leave in the package and another to leave in the package.

The Phantom is easily the best figure in the line. He might be the best toy representation of the character ever made. He's certainly a contender for that title. He's a very sad little Phantom. Poor thing!

The Retro Cloth series is a nice little set of modern monster toys. It's good that they are ending on a high note. Better than dragging it out and perhaps seeing the quality decline. The Phantom brings the line to a triumphant conclusion.

Now I might go back and try to get that Monsterpalooza Jack Pierce figure.

That reminds me, and King Kang Kong, maybe you can answer.
Why did the artwork change on the packages? It started out as photos of the characters, and now it's pictures of the action figures.  Was there a reason for this?

Just got back from my TRU and comic shop. As I expected TRU had no Universal figures at all except a couple of Mezco Frankenstein and Creature. I check the comic shop for the banks and the cloth figures and they had nothing also. Typical of stoes in Maine. Last to get anything if anything at all.

I only found the Phantom, today. No Metaluna, as of yet. Are there any Munster's released?

Success!!! Snagged everything. The Hyde is the best!!!  This is why you need to get both versions of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The TRU Hyde only comes with what's pictured. No jekyll parts. The DST deluxe Jekyll comes with what you see, plus the Hyde parts sans rooftop display. So if you buy both, you essentially get 2 figures.

I went to the two local (Baltimore area) Toys R Us stores yesterday (I'm off work thanks to the government shutdown) and both had received their shipments of Munsters, Monsters, and Retro figures. Each store had two of each figure and I was able to get a mint copy of everything (2 mint copies of each of the retro figures). I picked up the regular versions of the Munsters and Monsters last weekend at Monster Mania. Unfortunately, getting mint copies of those in nearly impossible thanks to the absolute WORST action figure packaging EVER!!!!!
