Mr. Hyde's hat willl fit correctly on his head if you hold a hair dryer over it for a few minutes. I bought the deluxe version today, and that did the trick.

Why does the TRU website show Quasi with the gargoyle? I thought that was the select/comic shop version. And why can't I find a pic of the other version anywhere?

I'll have to send TRU.com a new picture. I don't know that the Hunchback was shot off of the Gargoyle, but I will see if we can correct that. I don't want people to get the wrong idea.

These figures have improved greatly from wave to wave. I was really annoyed with Dracula and Frankenstein's lack of articulation and lack of Lugosi. But DST has really made up for their earlier shortcomings. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are truly masterpieces as far as I am concerned. Kind of sad not to see Werewolf of London, Dracula's Daughter, Kharis, etc.etc.etc. But Mr.Hydes made the whole set worth buying.

Will have to hit my local TRU tomorrow when they get a delivery. Last year they got one stinking case of the Creech and Bride retros. I bought all the Creech figures and passed on the Bride. Will do the same with the Phantom if i'm lucky. They can't even tell you anymore at TRU if they will carry the figures or not. If it's on the website, then maybe they will get it if some supreme TRU power sees fit to send them some. WTF!

Not a single unit monster at my try....pfffft >:(

Again with the auto correct too...

Just hit the jackpot....picked up all three T'R'U figures and both Megos at T'R'U and picked up the deluxe versions at my local comic shop. They definitely have improved with the recent lines, but still lacked a little with the paint apps. The Jekyll and Hyde deluxe was my biggest disappointment. The sculpt wasn't as Karloffian as it looked in the preview pics and the paint app only made things worse. The face was painted too glossy and the hair didn't have enough grey highlights making it look way too young. Still a great figure, but the proto-type promised more. The Hunchback was as perfect as it could be, but the Moleman's head was too big and his legs were too straight (giving him a stiff pose). The Megos, on the other hand were incredible! The Mutant looked great, but the leg and arm markings were too light (as if they were drawn on with markers). The Phantom was shear perfection! It's one of the very finest horror figures ever released. It beats anything AHI, Mego, Remco, Lincoln, Tomland or ANYBODY has ever put out in that format. If this are to be the very last, it's a perfect way to go out. Kudos, Diamond!!!

I know! Why get it right with the proto, then screw it up with the production figures?

Proto = show piece made by craftsman in USA. Production line = you know where for not much pay. Surprised most come out as good as they do

Anton Phibes

OK---Ravenloft is west coast? Where are you Mord? I am in cornfield, ohio, lol. Wondering when my tru will get them in. ???

Yeah, but don't you think it's kind of a cheat? I mean, if you can't do the figs. like the photos, don't do the ones in the photos so good!

Only way they could do that is to have a production piece be the proto. Not feasible in todays show me NOW world...

Went to TRU today...they had the Munsters figures, which were cool...but i'm on a limited budget and am saving all my $$$ for the  Dr Jekyll / Mr Hyde & Phantom figures...maybe a Mutant or two, also...
