Monsters For Sale

My interest in "Star Wars" pretty much begins and ends with the first movie - original theatrical version.

But Disney wants to milk the franchise for all it is worth.  So maybe this will be welcome news for some of you:

Can't wait till Disney get's serious with this, and does a Jar Jar Binks sitcom for Disney Jr.

Sounds like time to start selling any Disney stocks you have, because these "Spin offs" are most likely to bomb.  ;D

that'd be great. And no that's not sarcasm hidden in that response. Ive always loved the Jar-Jar Binks character and never understood why he got so much bigotry-laden reactions.

I thought the person was giving an example of SW spin-offs that could be possible.

It'd still be a cool idea for an animated TV series. A bunch of Gungans with Jar-Jar Binks in the center of it all in the underwater city of Otah Gunga and the wacky adventures that follow. It'd be a throwback to 'The Ewok Adventures'.

They actually had Jar Jar on Clone Wars a few times but they kept his appearances limited and his antics to a minimum.....it wasn't as bad as his movie appearances!

yeah, I remember seeing him! I still loved him in Phantom Menace though.

George Lucas was toying with the idea of a Yoda standalone feature as far back as 1985. He brought up the possibility again in 2005, after "Revenge of the Sith" was released. Since it was rumored the live-action "Star Wars" series would have centered around Boba Fett and other bounty hunters, but the series never got off the ground, that's a natural progression. The only idea I'd really be against is a Young Han Solo film. I don't think they could recast that role.

There is no reason to have a young Han Solo in any film about Yoda, considering I don't believe the two ever met.  By the way, isn't a "Spaceballs" continuation way over due?  Perhaps Brooks himself could play Yogurt.

These would be seperate prequel/origin stories, Han and Yoda will not be seen meeting for lunch at Mos Eisley!
