Moebius Mummy - Finished 2/1/13

Well, I finished it ... yay!

I did a lot of alterations to the original kit, totally replaced the base and added some extras. The head is a resin replacement from Tom Parker. I scratch built the box that held the sacred scroll. The sarcophagus was altered to had the lid pin slits, etched and painted hyroglyphics (sp?), the flowers were carved away and the beard chipped off the front of the coffin as they were in the movie. The base is blue builders foam covered in sand and then painted. The vase was from the hobby shop and the drawings inked on with a technical pen.

It was fun and rewarding build!

Thanks for the comments everyone, it was a great kit to build. I love that Moebius is producing so many beautiful monster kits, reminds me of when I was a kid!
