Nope, as soon as I heard it had a contemporary setting, I was disillusioned. Hitchcock's "Psycho" is "Psycho," period. The only thing that possibly supercedes it is Bloch's novel. This "reimagining" looks like a brutal slap in the face for fans of the classic film.
I know, I know, just about all of us were outraged over the very idea of "Mockingbird Lane." And when it finally aired, a lot of us liked it and were disappointed it wasn't going to series. So, yes, I WILL be checking out the first few episodes. But, what I'm seeing isn't encouraging. At all.
