Got this eBay lot in the mail today. The Marx Cavemen repops are no mystery, but I'm really wondering about the spooky tree and the 2 tombstones. They aren't marked.

The tree is blowmold soft plastic, and the tombstones are soft plastic. The tree is a little over 4" tall. They look like the kind of pieces you would find in a '60s monster playset, but I don't recognize them. Can anyone identify them?

Fantastic, horrorhunter.
Thanks, mars.

Hopefully someone can identify the spooky tree and tombstones. I'm curious.

It is clearly marked 59ยข.

I think there may still be a few of those at my corner variety store. I might pick one up, together with a pea shooter so I can set the figures up on the kitchen floor and then knock them down!

I just checked on my pictures on the PC because I knew I had seen a photo before of the spooky tree and gravestones before, well I did save the photo which I'll try and remember to upload but in the mean time on the header card that the tree and gravestones come from it says the set is called 'Ghost and Monster' distributed by Kid's Goods, Atlanta GA.

Thanks, Monsterscud. Any idea when it was sold? What other figures were included besides the tree and tombstones? Was it sold nationally, or just regionally in the south? Any info is appreciated.

I know it may seem weird to be so interested in these pieces but I really love classic blowmold monster items and Marx/MPC-style playsets, and these pieces remind me of both. They have a '60s/'70s monster toy aesthetic to me, though I suspect they may be much more recent.

"Authentic."  Yeah, I'm sure those are totally officially licensed! Haha!
But they are neat! I wouldn't mind having some mini Toxies mucking up the place.

Years ago, I owned every variation for these figures, in different packaging. This particular set, the carded set that sold earlier on e-bay, and the bagged versions with the dart gun. By the way, does anyone have an idea as to how many Hasbro Creature paint sets might be out there? I'm talking about still boxed sets, either mint or slightly started.

There's a carded gun too, correct? Do you happen to have photos of your old collection of them?

I know of six boxed sets, but I don't know how many of those are unpainted. I've seen a trimmed box top, and maybe ten or twelve painted or partially painted "canvases". Never seen the cardboard paint holder separate.
