This is Hilde...yea, we named her already. I picked her up at a thrift store in Cape May while on vacation. She is a "nodder" and was made by the Heico company out of Germany. A little research online revealed a whole family of the ugly little buggers.

She has a great face.

I'd be tempted to try a witch's hat on her.

I agree. The whole figure is well sculpted with a lot of character.

There are quite a few on eBay.  Not too expensive for such old pieces.

Yea, one collector alone has a good number of them up for auction.

Hit one of my fave antique/flea markets stores today, and found this little horror gem. This place has alot of old pulp fiction-style books, and I found this rummaging through a pile. This is a first edition from 1967. I think it will look cool amongst my horror collection. I had to buy it just for the cover alone. I was also curious to see if this was the book that the 1972 ABC Movie of the Week, Moon of the Wolf, was based upon. Remember the ABC Movie of the Weeks back in the early 1970's? Weren't they the best? They gave us Crowhaven Farm, Something Evil, The Norliss Tapes, The Night Stalker, Duel, Haunts of the Very Rich, When Michael Calls, Trilogy of Terror, The Legend of Lizzy Borden, etc, etc.

The IMDb says yes!

Love the '70s horror (and some sci-fi) TV movies! I have a few of them on DVD. I'd like to see a lot more of them on disc.

Me too! I can't believe they haven't put out a compilation of those old TV horror movies. I guess it's about licensing issues???

They're probably owned by the various production companies (except the ones that were merged, or bought out), so there won't be any "Movie of the Week" boxed sets. A lot of them are probably in need of restoration, too.

Well, I just dug out an old 10 DVD compilation horror boxset that has Scream of the Wolf and Moon of the Wolf on it. I watched it lastnight, and you are right. Moon of the Wolf is based on this book I just bought. My 85 year-old Dad just snagged the book from me and is reading it now. He said it's a good book.

It's a shame that those old TV horror movies are tied up in legal issues. They'd make some great boxsets, and I think they'd sell well with the babyboomers. A number of them are on YouTube, but you have to watch them in chapters, which is kind of a PITA. You can find alot of these old flicks at horror conventions, but as you said they are in need of restoration somewhat. I bought The Norliss Tapes at a convention years back. That movie scared the crap outta me when it first came on TV. It gave me nightmares for years as a boy. Something Evil was another one.

This one has 6 made-for-TV movies - all from Universal Studios:

THE ULTIMATE SCI-FI MOVIE MARATHON

"The Android Affair"
"It Came From Outer Space II"
"Deep Red"
"Evolution's Child"
"Night Visitors"
"Control Factor"

And it's cheap, too.

Those are from the '90s and later, though. We were thinking of the classic 1970s "ABC Movie of the Week" movies. Although I'd be surprised if Universal wasn't a steady provider for the MotW.

This isn't mine, unfortunately for me, but I thought it might be of interest to UMA. Palmer Monsters set in original packaging sells for $910 at eBay auction.

The package had been opened and the tiny Fay Wray figure was missing. I wonder what a sealed one MIP with nice condition packaging would sell for.

ALWAYS MONSTERING...

What a rip-off!

It is clearly marked 59ยข.

I could see somebody paying $900 for it, if the package hadn't been ripped open and the Fay fig. missing.
