I saw a portion of this commercial on the screens at the Bayliner Diner food court at the Cabana Bay Resort at Universal Studios Florida last month and had to search it out on YouTube:

Never had the toy, but I remember those commercials! ;D

My thinking exactly!

My dream is to get an Orange, White and Grey.  The Orange goes between the Red and Yellow, the Pink moves to the other side of the Red and the White goes after the Pink.  Then I would put the Grey after the White - since it belongs between the White and Black.

I know the Grey exists.  Not so sure about the Orange and White.)

That would put them all in order by the wavelength of colors. Ultraviolet to infrared.

(I can dream.)
Have you thought about contacting Mold-A-Rama (or various other companies that have machines) directly to see if the full figure Frank mold still exists? Perhaps a custom run in any color can be done and you can pass them out bulk at Halloween after you collect a few for yourself. I would like to own one myself as I have several zoo animal moldies from my childhood and later. I "liked" them on Facebook some years back and they actually update their locations of machines (mostly at zoos and museums) so you know what is found where. I haven't spotted that Frank mold in a machine of their page yet but who knows what is lurking in their collection or warehouse? Do you collect the Frank head only moldies or skull heads?

Don't think so.

The most recent one I know of was maybe ten years ago.  The Black Frankenstein was made by a Mold-A-Rama machine owner who was testing his equipment.  He made a handful for other machine owners and a few to sell to recoup his costs.  He claimed to have made only 12 total.

He was nice enough to sell one to me (very cheaply) because I had contacted him and asked him numerous questions about Mold-A-Rama and his hobby.  I asked so many questions, I was afraid I would make him mad.  But he seemed to really enjoy sharing his voluminous information with someone outside his very tight little circle of friends.  Most hobbyists love talking about their particular passion.
Oops sorry Adam, I hadn't read this rely yet  regarding contacting machine owners

Just got this 16 in. Cheinco Frankenstein wastebasket:

Pretty much scratch free, very light rust inside bottom - none outside:

Has excellent, crack-free plastic lid:

My best info has these being produced around 1960.  Anyone have a more accurate date?

That's cool. I've seen these up for sale but they're usually missing the lid. I didn't even know they had one until now. Those eye lashes are a bit much though.  :o

His lashes are what you notice?  What about how short his legs are!?

They also usually have many scratches and a lot of rust.

The lid is light plastic and would easily crack if something heavy were placed on top - or they got stepped or sat on while the can was out being emptied.

Very nice find! Especially with the lid, which seem an odd addition for a waste basket (without a foot pedal).

Terry posted a pic of one in the archives as being from 1979. I have no idea what his source was.

I think they started making them in 1976.

That sounds much more likely.  There are a lot of these things rom the same company on eBay.  They seem to all be described as being from the 1970's.

I thought the art looked more '70s than '60s.

Great buys & finds everyone! :-)

I basically just started collecting monster figures... I prefer 1/6 scale...
Recently picked these up loose but with boxes included... I modified the Sideshow Wolfman by placing a
Gijoe 1970's bullet proof vest on him to make him look more bulky. Also using a 1970's
Gijoe Sea Adventurer shirt on him... Sleeves were to short on his original shirt...
Thanks for looking!

Cabana Bay! LOVE it there! Did you get to the main park to hit up the Classic Monsters Café and see the Horror Make Up Show?
Stay sick. Turn blue. Drop dead.
