The Batman

A very old lifesize, solid black wax skull.  I may have to burn it next Halloween, but first make a mold of it...  and a bonus photo picture after the skull picture ...

The colorful candle is from a friend who took a trip to Germany.

The Tiki mug in the background is The Tikinator.

Oh, and do have a bonus laugh on me on this fine day.

Flower! Don't be sneaking into my basement to play with my toys! I'm watching for ya now! You are a special woman among all womenzes! For sure! And sneaky too!

I prefer your toys in the attic to the ones in the basement but they will do in a pinch.  8)

Sneaky is my middle name ..  ;)

Damn, I missed that! Gotta search for Weeties. Those Creature cards (and several others from the set) were iron-on images from Roach.

Wow!

:o

What can you tell us about the vending machine premiums and card? When, how much per spin, where did you find them and how much did the card and premiums cost you today?

???

What caught my eye with the card, was the black monster head in the middle of the card, (sorry for the less than excellent photos).  What caught my eye was the fact that it was the "pinback" version of this guy...

Recently found cheaply (less than $15) on eBay.

Vending machine cards are such great relics! Do such things still exist, with cards like that? I'm surprised there as many of them still around as there are!

Agreed! They're fabulous relics since vending machines were an integral part of any boomer monster kid's life.

I greatly appreciate seeing those gumball machine memories of the compass within the tire and the other items. 'Also remember the " real-working spy camera tease " = they would put only 1 or 2 cameras in the machine.   8) 8) 8)  these dinos are gone for good, but I LOVE the memories...

I saw a portion of this commercial on the screens at the Bayliner Diner food court at the Cabana Bay Resort at Universal Studios Florida last month and had to search it out on YouTube:

On the topic of vending machine toys, here's one from my collection of "stuff". It seemed very in-jokey in the 70s.

Finks? by Ian McLean, on Flickr

Finks by Ian McLean, on Flickr

Novelty plastic capsule/pendant has two sides: "Smallest fink in the world" opens to reveal a tiny white figure of Ratfink. The other side, "Largest fink in the world", reveals a mirror! (I imagine many people never got the jokes. Luckily, I knew Ratfink from seeing model kits of his car in hobby shops.)

Somewhere, I think I still have a "gold" ring with a design of three carrots on it. I used to tell people that it was a "three carot gold ring".
Thiptho lapth,

Regards, Ian.
