As I get older I get less obsessive, so it doesn't bug me as much as it once would have.

Well, since it's on the back, maybe you can just hide it.

Got these as freebies in a King Kong Jungle Playset (MPC, 1967) I won in an eBay auction. Here are 8 of the 9 figures from the carded Tarzan, King Of The Jungle (Aurora, 1967) set of figures. These are supposed to be quite scarce from what I can tell. In a 2011 eBay auction a nice carded set went for $272 and change. A few loose ones pop up on eBay for around $15-$20 each but I haven't seen the Tarzan. Of these eight the Tarzan has a broken knife blade and the deer has broken horns, the others being quite nice. I scored the whole King Kong playset for $150 so I'm very pleased at getting a great deal. I normally don't collect jungle animals unless there's a monster connection but I think I'll make an exception with these as they have such beautiful sculpts.

Here's the King Kong Jungle Set (MPC, 1967) the Tarzan pieces were thrown in with.

Yeah, we don't quite understand that either. Not sure what they were using back then to stick them on (glue, rubber cement...'lick and stick'?), but it seems like it would have stuck just as well to the the box without slicing out that area.  Based on what he first told me I was almost expecting worse (they carved out a place on the back...)!
If it really bothers you, I would love to take it off your hands.

I think I would scan the game pieces, print and cut out new ones before I would punch out the originals.

Oh, I'd absolutely leave it untouched just like my Dracula Mystery Game! It's not that hard to find a beater game for a song if you want to give one a play.

My son found this yesterday at a kind of strange sale near him

I found one for sale at my flea market for $20 last year. Missing two pegs, jewel, and owl spinner. We played this game tonight after Thanksgiving Dinner.
I used D&D dice in place of a spinner, and I had a small hand from an action figure we used as the Jewel. Now it is Thing from The Addams Family. It even fits in the hole in the attic and in the end of the peg.
Nice find, and a fun game. Since I got it so cheap, I don't mind playing it.

P.S.
I had to use a copy of instructions I found on ebay. A nice clean scan would be great if it is not a bother. :)

My 1964 Dell The Creature came today. Super stoked about this one, I found it on accident. Less than $10 to my door.

Less than $10 to my door.

Can't beat that! Looks to be in decent condition. I wonder if there are any NM copies out there? I never see any on Ebay. Don't know if I'd be willing to pay for one anyway?
