That may have been the more rubbery ones, this is more like a bendy. Made by Imperial.

Cool finds Jimm.  I think I may have had that ape as a youngster, but I may also be inventing a memory through seeing it recently somewhere else.  For some reason, I seem to remember it having some type of gold colored rope or thread attached to it.  Maybe that was a store hanger?

Yes, that may very well be.  My memory does have this one as being a very heavy rubber, like the old heavy rubber snakes.

I picked up this little plastic haunted house this week. It's about 7 inches tall and it came with a corded light that fits inside it. I've only seen this haunted house twice before. Once I saw it listed on eBay for $350, which is clearly insane, and then I saw it again at Wonderfest last year, and the buyer wanted $100. I stumbled across one for much less this week and bought it because I collect haunted house items and I like the graphics on the house. The graphics look very 1970's to me, but I have no other information about it. I can't seem to find any markings on it. Anybody know anything about it?

Wow!  I love the graphics on it!

Yes...I love me a good haunted house.

RICKH

Rod I have that haunted house lamp also.  I bought mine back in '78-'79 at a K-Mart in Paducah, KY.  I believe it cost $2.98 or 3.98 at the time.  I really love both sides of the house. I put it out every Halloween.

RICKH,

Yes, it's true, the back of the house is cool too because it's completely sculpted and there are additional graphics you can't see on the sides. So I was right about the graphics being late 1970's? That's cool. Maybe I'll take a few additional pictures if anybody wants to see them. I was happy to find one I could afford. I'm always on the lookout for cool haunted house items.

BTW, the one I found came with a standard white light bulb. Is that the case with yours too? I'm thinking about replacing it with a colored bulb or something that flashes different colors.

My cool find of the week was an ebay purchase. I picked up the Dracula Soil Pendant that Warren Publishing put out all those years ago.  The COA is numbered 4207/5000.

I remember those ads!! Cool find John!

From what I understood, someone bought at auction the remaining Dracula Soil Pendants that Warren Publishing had left. They are being sold one at a time on ebay by the same person for $35 shipped so I said why not now before it is too late.

RICKH

Rod,
Yes mine came with a  white light. I think it would look cool with a colored or blinking light.
