Cool ideas, Monsters For Sale! I make stop motion videos with my figures (shameless plug - see my signature) and I was already plotting what I could do with this guy.

Funny thing, horrorhunter - I was playing around with him on the car ride home and I accidentally "shot" the driver! :p

   Too cool. I've always wanted a Shogun Big G but they are a bit pricey. Good score Terry.

Not a toy or kit but definitely monster elated-we had some money from our tax return left over and got a fantastic deal on a Mitsubishi 78 inch HDTV!!It even came with a free LG Blu Ray player! This TV is like watching a movie screen-I absolutely love it! I've been watching monster flicks on it all week and even with some movies I've seen a hundred times I am spotting little details I never noticed before.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

Assuming you haven't replaced all your regular DVD's with BLU-Rays yet, how do the old 1.33:1 DVD's look on the new TV?  Does the picture fill the screen from top to bottom - or do you have a small picture floating somewhere in the middle?

I'd like a large screen TV, but I have so very many old standard DVD's.  I worry about how they would look played in the larger format.

Congrats on these great finds.  The Shogun Godzilla is always a fun piece.  Seeing yours reminds about when I got mine.  It was given to me several years ago by a fellow UMA member, Joe "Hauzy" Hauze.  Hauzy passed away after a fatal motorcycle accident a few years ago.  He was a generous guy that woduld sponsor contests and giveaways in this group and others.  His presence is missed.

I often wonder about the fallen UMA Members before my time here. How many have came and gone for one reason or another.

I actually haven't gotten any blu-rays yet. The DVDs look the same quality wise as played through a dvd player. You can adjust the screen setting on the TV to either show the movie window boxed or to fill the screen. I should clarify that I had an HDTV before but it was a 42 incher. I loved that one but this new ginormous one was a surprise from my wife-she saw it earlier and reserved it then took me to the store to "look around" and said we are getting this one. She is an awesome lady!!

Off the top of my head, we lost the aforementioned Joe "Hauzy" Hauze, Linda "Meek" Miller, Don "Uncula" Stout, and Shawn (whose name eludes me now).  As for people that have just come and gone on their own, well, that's just too tough to determine becasue sometimes old faces show up again.

That is what I hate about Internet sites. You build up friendships with people and then all of a sudden they are gone. No explanation, nothing. I have lost track of so many people over the years, so I keep the same name on every site I visit in hopes of finding some people that I miss.

Love those ! They must have been ones distributed in Frito-Lays Corn Chips given the colours. Did you score those on Ebay?
