He does kinda look like Varan and he also looks like something from a 60s HB action cartoon like Johnny Quest or Space Ghost.

is it me or have the weekly finds been slim lately?
It's all about the Horror.

I cannot speak for anyone else---but my weekly finds have been anemic all year. Food and gas cost too much nowadays to blow money on things I enjoy. Necessity first....playthings second. UNFORTUNATELY, Lol. I only I didnt have to eat. Which is annoying anyway because I gained back the 26 lbs. I lost. :'(

Finally got a Mummy to go with Drac and Frank. Annoyed though, because the seller claimed it to be "factory sealed". There were 2 large pieces of packing tape on the ends of the box. I managed to remove some of the tape without doing too much damage to the box, but had to leave some of it on there, so not to damage it further.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but even in the 70's, tape on the box did not mean factory sealed. Dracula and Frankenstein show no signs of ever having tape on them, so... >:( The Puzzle seems to be complete though, and the pieces are in really good shape from what I saw when I counted them.

Tape on boxes ugh. I once had a model, not sealed, with great box, the seller decided to tape it up for me for shipping. This was a 150 dollar kit mind you.Tense removing that tape... :P

monsterjoe

lighter fluid will dissolve tape glue for easy removal.

Those are very cool. I remember the puzzles.

Looks like whoever staked Dracula missed the heart. Ol'Drac's still alive and happy. I'm guessing you probably can't say the same for his attacker.

Really? if you trace a line down from Drac's bow tie and medalion it looks like he was staked just slightly to the left (his left) of center. I figure that was a pretty good placement............Buddy

Well, these puzzles weren't shipped from the factory taped closed, that's for sure. They were retailed shrinkwrapped. Glad they are all there, though. If you are going to try to remove any more of the tape, may I reccomend Bestine rubber cement thinner, especially over lighter fluid? While Bestine is flammable, it's going to evaporate much "cleaner" than lighter fluid, and is designed by purpose to do what you want; assist in the removal of adhesive.
