Toy Ranch

It was made by Eldon.  I didn't realize this, but...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eldon_(toy_company)

"Eldon Industries, Inc. was a toy company located in Hawthorne, California (the hometown of the Mattel toy company), that also in its heyday owned locations in Canada, England, Japan, and the Netherlands."

So it may very well have been designed by someone in or from their Netherlands location.  It looks very 70's to me, but is dated 1964.

Wow, my mom used to work for Eldon on the assembly line in the 60's. I used to get all the reject toys they didn't use (most were missing parts or broken).

I haven't been in this thread in a long time. I should stop by more often. Lots of wonderful finds this Halloween season! Congratulations to everyone on their great scores!

Only thing better would have been working for Mattel or Ideal.
We're all here because we're not all there.

Yay. I FINALLY have a weekly find to show!

I've been looking for an "affordable" Frankenstein Sharpener for years.

I'm already stripping the paint off.

Monsters For Sale

Good for you!

The soft plastic cleans up very nicely.  I trust the seller did NOT mail it in an envelope.  The noses on some are a trifle thin and can dent.

(Nice price.)

You know, he DID mail it in an envelope but it was packed w/bubble wrap so it didn't get crushed.  Whew!!

The auction said it would be mailed in an envelope.  I just figured you told him to box it.

You were lucky to get it.  It was listed for 4 hours.

You were lucky I did not see it first.

Yeah.  That was a really lucky break.  A friend of mine told me about it.  I'm sure I wouldn't have seen it in time, otherwise.  I was sloppy and didn't check to see how he'd mail it.  Oops.

I've been looking for that stupid sharpener for about 5 years (but too "cheap" to dish out the cash when they did show up on  eBay).

Toy Ranch

Great score Getter 1!

Just received my Rapco boxed plaster kits in the mail today. Creature is complete, Franky missing instructions, Wolfy missing instructions and paint. All have the inspector slips. Very happy to get them all at once.

Hepcat

Send a note to the company politely telling them to send you the missing paint and instructions. Don't curse them out. Just send them your address, thank them and say you'll be waiting.
