Yeah, I noticed that Ray had pics of the Mummy on his flickr account. I figured he must've worked out a deal with you for it. Congrats!

"Dracula Prince of Darkness" (the second in the series) is the classiest, but it's on the slow side and Dracula doesn't appear until almost an hour into the movie. "The Satanic Rites of Dracula" (the last in the series) is the worst in the series, in my opinion, and is best watched as a strange episode of "The Avengers." "The Mummy's Shroud" is slow going, but the climax is lively. "Rasputin" isn't really a horror film in the purest sense, but Christopher is great in it. It's almost Halloween, and of the titles shown here, I'd go for "Dracula Prince of Darkness," even though you'd have a much better first Hammer experience with "Horror of Dracula" or "Brides of Dracula."

I agree with Radioactive Rod.
Dracula Prince of Darkness has to get my vote also. I' don't remember enough of the Mummy's Shroud to comment.
Satanic Rites is low on my list. I'm surprised MST3K never did it, he he.

I got this in a trade from a fellow UMA member.   They got an item they really wanted and i felt they must have, I got want I wanted more than any other Monster toy.

IMO the greatest monster toy ever created.   Surprisingly he works.  and smells like new.    My collecting is all down hill from here.

Lucky you! Most of us would love to get to that point.

I'll second Rod's recommendation. I envy you.  It'll be quite the memorable Halloween for you.

That's a beauty of a Marx Frankenstein. Great shape! Does it work! It is also my favorite monster toy.

I really seriously do enjoy Dracula Prince of Darkness a lot, last half is very good! Intro part is just too awesome, yes I know it is taken from Horror of Dracula movie which I will be hunting down that dvd copy soon when thanksgiving break comes.

Dracula: Prince of Darkness Intro

Anyway, here is my new finds from goodwill today. horror movies with Halloween stickers were on sale for 12 cents a piece due to 75% off on halloween stuff...

However all of the horror vhs movies at goodwill seems to be donated by the same person who wasn't taking very good care of them, because at least half of them has mild white molds inside VHS tapes. Thankfully ones that I bought has no signs of mild white molds to be found. I'm still sad that "The Trial", "It Conquered the world", and "Mania" (w/ peter crushing) fell victim to the mild white molds inside their tapes that I have to avoid them at the goodwill, oh well.

Yes I know that Legend of 7 golden vampires sucks, but hey why not? It's on sale for 12 cents, heh it has Peter crushing in it.

Is "Angry Red Planet" good movie to watch?

I hope you were being sarcastic when you said The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires Sucks.....The best Hammer Horror movie of all time I say!

Radioactive Rod Whitenack

"Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires" DOES NOT suck. It's actually a pretty cool Cushing/Van Helsing flick. It was a co-production between Hammer and the Shaw Bros. studio, so it's a mix of Hammer Horror and Shaw Bros. kung-fu. In my opinion, it's a very entertaining mishmash, but I actually enjoy Shaw Bros. kung-fu flicks. The Golden Vampires are pretty creepy, and Dracula does make an appearance (not Christopher Lee this time) to do battle with Van Helsing at the end. Anyone that tells you this movie sucks has either been subjected to the horribly edited version known as "The 7 Brothers and Their One Sister Meet Dracula," or they just don't like Shaw Bros. kung-fu.

Sly Wolf

Sorry about that, I'm still a newbie when it comes to Hammer Horror movies, I watch only one so far. I have only six Hammer Horror films on VHS from goodwill so far for now, still planning get few more from online on dvd.

I'll take your words that "Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires" doesn't suck at all. I just I thought that someone said it was bad, but like you said, they could have seen the wrong version or just dislikes old B movies.

In reality, just like some members here said that there is no bad Hammer Horror films at all. I was just only joking that it sucks because it was said by handful to be the worst hammer, but that's just their opinion anyway. Who knows I actually might enjoy it on B-movie level.

I doubt there's a film that doesn't have at least one fan who loves it.  "Birdemic" and "Manos Hands of Fate" are films I would consider awful, but both of them represent someones heartfelt effort to make a great film.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

The Angry Red Planet is a trippy, pretty cool movie, imo.

No, it's an IB Melchior film, released by MGM. Most of his stuff was for AIP and he is more accomplished as a writer than a director.

I picked up this vinyl Rat Bat Spider a few years ago, at a convention.
