When I get to thinking that beating the bushes can't get ya anywhere anymore I'll think about today. Had a prospective tip......checked it out......came home with this incredible battery op space toy! This is a Nomura Interplanetary Space Fighter V 7!  I don't even try to seek out space toys or robots, cause the prices are usually out of this world (ha!). This guy will be one of my prize finds.......ever! Aren't Saturdays wonderful?!      Buddy

Scatter

That is one of the coolest tin toys I've ever seen!! Congrats Buddy!
We're all here because we're not all there.

Unbelievably awesome, that would have been alot of dough at auction!! You toss some batteries in it yet?

No.......the battery area is super clean. In fact, I bought new batteries to take over when I examined the toy. But I just can't quite bring myself to do it. Several years ago I put batteries in my Remco Pom-Pom gun just for fun and I believe I burnt out the motor. Many factors against running an old battery op.    I just enjoy looking at em...........Buddy

Ha! That's kinda funny, Bob. Naw,  I'm sure I'll give it a try one of these days, but that really isn't very important to me. I've got some stuff down here in the basement that I've had for over 30 years and never put batteries in. There's alot of debate on the subject of "does it run?"  If you buy the finest condition battery op, I figure it will run, or is easily fixable if it momentarily won't.  I still hurt over the Pom-Pom gun I possibly burnt out...........Buddy

Buddy, your collection of toys makes my eyes pop out of my head everytime I look at your pictures!  :)  Your love and respect for your treasures warms my heart.  Thanks for livening up my world. I would have never seen most of these fantastic toys otherwise.  Go Buddy!  That Super Jet has me pushing my peepers back into their housings- Wow!!

Bud, over at the Robot board the key they say is to use dollar store batteries.  Alkalines can burn out bulbs and such due to being over charged per some of the battery op experts. Some robots can hardly walk due to the extra weight of the alkalines also, too top heavy! Even a couple years without use on some of my stuff has proved to be a pain to get em going again, though eventually they did come back to life. China toys that came later are MUCH more prone to breakage than the Japan battery op stuff, plastic gears and what not vs. brass in the earlier stuff.
