While i'm aware of the Marx monsters being made available in a myriad different colors in recent years, i've yet to see any attempts by anyone to faithfully recreate the old teal and neon orange originals. Does anyone here own one or have access to pics of such examples??

Mike, I'll try to do some research into this stuff.......somebody has to know what's up. Meanwhile I found one of my kid's old toys that she has forgotten was hers. Heh-heh! Mine mine mine now! Franky stands 16" tall with a pop lid head. Comes with 3 plastic tools to "Fix" him with. When you open his chest he has movable gears, an electric switch like in the 30's original movie and a removable heart. Pushing purple buttons makes his eyes light red and he says "fix me".......after you move something with a tool he says "thank you".......Buddy

Hey Bud....would love to see any pics of the Marx doppelgangers you can find. I bought this Franky for my son at a Chiller show years ago. [he's 18 now and is driving around in Zacherley's car which Zach so kindly gifted to him!]  He's safely packed away in a box in the attic awaiting the day when he has his own son or daughter to pass it down to. [cue the Circle of Life song here...]

Dr McCoy arrived yesterday. I have to agree with Therin that the stiff armed poses of this line are kind of lame, but they are still pretty neat. I also got a wonderful surprise from my sister-in her basement she found the giant Tyrannosaurus kit! I built it ,geez, probably 20 years ago and thought it was long gone, but it turned up in a huge box of old stuff. he is missing both hands and some teeth and the tip of his tail is broken off, but I can make new ones with sculpey I think. Gonna be a fun restoration project!

I ordered this coffin joe dvd boxed set off ebay from a seller who had several of them. I just happened to recieve the 666th one of 10,000. what are the odds?thought that was pretty unusual! kinda makes me want to leave it sealed (the collector in me) but I gotta watch em (the kid in me) the kid usually wins.  and i also recieved a witch  pop top and a KONG monster NIK off ebay to add to my collection.

Found this ceramic DEVIL bank at goodwill .50 cents!

More goodwill swag, Mexican wrestler Homer .50 cents,
A metal dartboard with foam magnet darts from 1968 .50 cents,
a wolfman canned puzzle 1974 .75 cents,
and a scooby doo chess set $1 !

Monsters For Sale

I like the Blue Devil.  Very unusual

Does he have a use other than simply being decorative?  Is he a lid for a jar, incense burner ( with a hollow back), etc.?

Yep, hes a bank! coin notch in the back of his head, the bottom plug is red rubber and has darkened and hardened from age so im thinking he's fairly old.

Great stuff!  I have looked for that Coffin Joe set for a while.  I ordered one but never got it because their company was out.  I ordered it from a Hastings store.  I have never seen the movies but really want to.
Long live the UMA!

They definitelt hve better poses than the original series crew does. The Andorian looks ticked off too-maybe someone called him a Smurf. Data's pose is great, they captured that head tilt that he did very well!

My favorite horror host was Cincinnati's Cool Ghoul, Dick VonHoene. His daughter sent me these two promotional fliers today:

I was thrilled to get them. Memorabilia featuring him is getting harder and harder to find.

Mike, those are SWEET!
