I Just got these at a garage sale today and am EXTREAMLY EXCITED! I don't normally look at Pez dispensers but my mom did and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them :o and what makes it even better is they were a Dollar each ;D

I still cant believe that I got a Creature from the Black Lagoon Pez for one thin dollar and it's all thanks to my eagle eye mother!

That's a fabulous find in every way!

I wonder why the Creature was molded in black though.  I guess the Creature was issued by PEZ numerous times in several colours:

Good think it wasn't the creature from the Pink lagoon, or they may have had a creature dispenser in that color! :P
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Eraser monsters by Therin of Andor, on Flickr

I just couldn't resist these 3D jointed, posable eraser monsters at 69 cents each. Woolworths city store, Sydney, Australia. The mummy, robot and Frankenstein's Monster are depicted with a other creatures and cars on the back of each pack. There's supposedly an eleventh, secret, 1 in 50 eraser to collect. I guess the box I found had 49 erasers in it. Sigh. Now I'll never know what the mystery figure was. Maybe the Invisible Man?
Thiptho lapth,

Regards, Ian.

Not a toy or a monster, but I investigated the antique and second hand stores of Katoomba today, an hour's train ride away. I tried to buy this amazing 1960s wooden display rack, but the guy made me a very special offer if I took *both* - and he produced its identical mate. So here's just one of 'em, now filled up with Mr Smith's products.

Won this on ebay today...I have two complete sets of blue and orange Marx Monsters. All in terrific shape except for my orange Creech...he's all there, just a bit more worn than the others. Can't really complain, as i got him at a flea market about 20 years ago for a quarter! ANYWHO...here's the replacement i won today. Paid way more than 25 cents this time, but this one is in unusually good shape. Will post more pics when i get it. ;D

Thanks Hep! Seems to me i see more blue creatures in this kind of shape than the orange variety. For whatever the reason they usually seem more worse for the wear...more mold imperfections like nubby claws and less overall detail, too.
