Well, not so much a find as a preorder, and not so much monster stuff more then 39" of classic tv stuff, but this arrived this week:

Was going thru a box of magazines that I want to downsize and came across these-

They are from the late 80's, made of paper that you insert slot A into slot A, slot B into slot B, etc. to make a 3-D standee.  I had them set up on some shelves in my room way back when and kept/packed them away when I left for the Army.  I'm not sure who produced them or who the artist was.  Anybody know anything or have a set in package?

Recent Ebay pick-ups include:  Munsters frame tray puzzle, Frankenstein APC puzzle (assembled it yesterday to make sure it was 100%), Munsters squeekys, a nice solid copy of 3-D Monsters, as well as a few newer era items.

I also acquired Auroras; Mummy, Wolfman, Creature, Dracula (haven't gotten yet) and Hunchback (haven't gotten yet)-all in good shape although I didn't realize until I had received him that the Mummy was missing his wrapping that hangs over his right arm.  Also the Creature's lizard is missing his tongue and a few pieces broke in shipping, which isn't a big deal since I want to strip and redo them all of these anyway.

Almost forgot went ahead and picked up Frankenberry and Count Chocula metal rings (from the 70's?) with the last of my Paypal cash.  Thought they'd look good with my few other monster cereal items.

Great stuff!

Only good thing of late here, is that Amok times is doing a 13" It! from the 50's movie

Finally got my Dracula & Hunchback-Drac's pretty good, though I noticed a branch is broke off from the tree and maybe a clump of grass is missing.  I may try to mold and resin some parts from my Dracula luminator to complete this.  Got the same problem with my Aurora Mummy, I'll need to resin or get the bandage that hangs of his right shoulder.  The Hunchback is missing the nameplate....Ouch!  Didn't even notice in the picture (Guess I was to busy looking at the original instruction sheet/box top that was included) but sure enough when I re-looked you could see it was not there.  Not sure how I'm going to replicate/obtain that one?!?!  Better save up for the Parts Pit!  I'm not sure if this guys Hunchback ever came with a nameplate since the model was built with the pedestal attached sideways from the base so the nameplate area was on the side instead of in front and there is no glue residue left in the nameplate area.

As a side note I......I mean my wife got me an early father's day gift-an Aurora Phantom!!

Things have been a bit quiet for me lately, but I figured I'd post a few recent acquisitions. Finally grabbed a Tingler and got a decent deal on a Werewolf Of London, but best of all I got a great deal on a nice boxed Japanese Big Frankie. Unfortunately, I ended up spending nearly as much on shipping as on the toy. ($61/$56). And it may be silly, but I love the fake "Tales From Space" comic. Back to the Future was one of my favorites as a kid. Wolf Man soaky and a Marmit Pulgasari (Korean kaiju) rounds out the lot.

Jackpot!! Congratulations...I saw those Tinglers at Chiller a few weeks ago for about 40 bucks. Wish i'd have picked one up. Love the Big Franky and Wolfman Soaky. I have a few of the latter. One of my all time fave monster toys from the 60's. I continually bought that bubble bath thru many of its monster, cartoon, super hero incarnations as a kid. Even though whenever i used it in the bath, it always hurt like HELL to pee afterwards! Painful yes, but well worth every bladder infected moment... Enjoy your loot!

Chris,
Are you the one who snagged it for 18 bucks and change today? [ or am i thinking of the wrong version?]  If so, congrats! I couldn't believe it went so cheap! Must be a sign of the weak economy, because i've seen these things sell for about $80.00 not all that long ago. Regardless, THIS is the kind of thing that makes ebay fun...enjoy!

Gasport - it ended up going to about $38.00 - which I still consider a good deal. Like you, I've seen it go for much higher. There may have been a 12" that went for 18 or so. They're easier to find than the carded 1/8 figures.
I will enjoy it, thanks!

In the spirit of sharing, nothing earth shattering mind you, just one step closer at completing a boxed Remco Monster line. I did pick up some cool Mego stuff but this is it lately for monster stuff.

Telco Motion ettes Phantom and Dracula. I miss these in the 80s when they came out. HHW

Wow, you stole that Phantom for $22.50. I've got a couple of those but not a Phantom. I've always wanted one.
