GAKENSTEIN

Thanks, charp.  I am glad I adopted him.  Doubt I'll ever plug him in.  A singing, dancing Frankenstein isn't my idea of classic horror, although Peter Boyle in Young Frankenstein was marvelous.

Dr. Madd

I bought a singing, dancing animatronic frankenstein, too. He's in my armory.

Burger King premium Creech

2 identical Imperial Japanese monster jigglers (these guys fought Godzilla, right? Can't remember their name).

And a completely unmarked Kong.........anyone know anything about this little guy ?

Missed out on THIS guy.............just didn't have the cash. Seller wanted $100.

Good haul, Scatter!  That Kong's pretty cool - don't know anything about it, though.  That Franken-Stein is pretty damn awesome, but at a hundred bucks, it'd better have something other than beer in it!  :D

Cool stuff there Scatter! I love the surprise aspect of finding stuff at swap meets and places like that.

That's what I live for Karen........I can't afford anything that I can't find in a thrift store or swap meet these days. But even if I could afford it, I'd still go to the swap meets and thrift stores because of the thrill of the hunt! Besides, I love OLD stuff.

The wife and I took a much-needed weekend trip to the beach and I found this animated Frankenstein in a Christmas shop.  He was in a Halloween display and marked at $220.  After turning on the GAKENSTEIN charm, I cadged him for $100 -- and the sales lady threw in a Franky head mercury glass ornament for free!  He's musical and dances.  I think I'll dye his clothes black for a more accurate look.

Proud Monster Kid with his new toy!

He had no box so I had to carry him to my car. Got a lot of response from folks, especially when his head came off in the middle of the street!

At home in the collection.

Gak, anyone ever tell you that you resemble David Warner?

Inspired by Scatter's big score a few posts up, my wife & I stopped in an antique mall/flea market and I was bound & determined to find something to take home with me!  My wife found some neat things, and I got these little critters for a buck:

Then, at the last minute, I stumbled onto this "Bag O' Joes" - nine 12" soldier figures for $20.00.  Nothing vintage, but they will serve as cadavers that I can transform into some custom MONSTERS!  I left them in the bag for the pic, as some of them are naked, and it's quite disturbing.  Believe me, you'll thank me!

Plus, we've seen these before on here, but over Thanksgiving, my brother-in-law gave me these groovy plates.  I think they're from a dollar store or something.  Sorry for the dark pics.

Finally, I recieved this original sculpture, created by our own Dr. Madd, complete with a certificate of authenticity.  It's the Himalayan Yeti and it looks really cool in person.

Hope you like this stuff!

I think you did the piece more justice, photography, and lighting wise than I did.

The pics still don't do it justice - looks great on my desk!  Thanks again, Doc - was a pleasure doing business with you for this "one-of-a-kind" item.

Glad you like it. I was actually rather proud of it myself, particularly, with the teeth and gums and the eyes.
