Did not know there was a B/w version!

Yep!! In fact the B/W version of the Mystic Seer came out last year.
But, I didn't buy until this year. Amoeba's ( on SUNSET Blvd) had it, that's where I pick it up.
I really want the color Mystic Seer.

Are you here in the LA area as well?

I was a week ago. But, not now. I will be in Califonia in October, for Universal Halloween
Horror Nights and Knotts Scary Farm 2010. I'll hit you up, when I go/arrive in CALI. :D

I can not wait to go to Universal! I haven't been there since last Halloween.
I'm not so excited about Knotts, though. But, my friends want to go. I remember
how LAME  Knotts was.  :P

Back in the early 90s, Universal had a true UMA style Halloween fest. Instead of the shark popping out of the water, it was the Creature. They had Norman dressed as "mother" running after the trams from the Psycho house. you would pass through a graveyard scene with authentic-looking zombies coming out of the graves. There was someone dressed as the Phantom on the roof of the theater. There were Frankensteins, Draculas, Wolfmen,Mummies and zombies popping out of every corner and going after the trams. It was the very best theme park Halloween celebration I've ever been to. Sadly, since it was at night, a couple of costumed employees were crushed to death by trams that didn't see them.

With the exception of the people getting crushed to death, that sounds absolutely incredible! I would have loved to have experienced it. Thanks for posting that.

tv horror

That would make a great movie plot "And their screams can still be heard to this very day" what or who haunts the backlot?
A limerick a day keeps the Baron at bay

I remember those Universal days. My wife and I would attend Universal every Hallowe'en.
But, we didn't catch the Employee extermination. How sad for thoses people. :(

It was in the local papers the following day. After that, they discontinued that type of Halloween celebration. I Thought that that was the only year that they had done anything so elaborate and 100% monster based. They usually try to cash in on the flavor-of-the-month even though they wouldn't even be around today if it weren't for the monsters.

Well I was trying to inject a little humor there....

I know it's terrible that someone died, but getting run-over by a tram just seems so undignified.

I gotcha Moonie...........which is why it reminded me of that old joke!

When I die, I want it to be dignified too, slipping away peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather. Not screaming and crying like the passengers in his car.
