  A Witch cereal premium. These are from the early 70's. Don't know if they were available in the US. Always like the traditional Witch design.

I wonder why they didn't make them blue?

Just a guess but, maybe there were many of those little prize kits of different colors and characters. So they used white connectors on all so they did not have to make individual color ones.

I thought maybe most of the little figures were meant to have pink arms and legs - but the face is blue?

(Are the light colored pieces pink or white?)

  The seller I bought the Witch from also has this for sale.These are his pictures.The series was called Puppet People.I don't know too much about the series but from the photos they came in kit form with swivel joints.The arms and legs were on a separate sprue and are a pinky/flesh colour.There seems to be off white and yellow leg/arm parts as well.
  I'm trying to get a complete  skeleton and robot.

So some of them DO have pink faces.

What kind of cereal had these in their boxes?

  They were in Kelloggs cereal boxes so I'm assuming cornflakes.Did some more hunting on Aust Ebay and found these.The sealed packet is a Grenadier.
