Radioactive Rod Whitenack

I love that vinyl Rat Bat Spider. I wish I would have picked up one of those. At least I had the foresight to pick up this vinyl "Island of Terror" monster.

No, it's an IB Melchior film, released by MGM. Most of his stuff was for AIP and he is more accomplished as a writer than a director.

I picked up this vinyl Rat Bat Spider a few years ago, at a convention.

I should have said that it's not hammer, oh well. But at last it gives Toy Ranch something to say.

I'm jealous, LOL! Are they rare, hard to find? I really hadn't watch the movie yet but I found those rat spider designs to be petty awesome and very interesting at same time. Still I love the designs of it on the movie cover and that box you have.
Collecting? It's what I do!

Toy Ranch

They show up sometimes. They are not old, but people like them. They come in several colors, and the color has an impact on the price. They go for between $100 and $250, depending. This one I got at that show for $100 and I think it is one of the more rare/desirable colors.

Hepcat

I love the Rat Bat Spider figure! It's a must for every collection.

Whoa, very pricey and thankfully fair enough for me to get one since I'm a fan of the rat bat spider thing from the ARP movie anyway... Still it is something I will have to wait until I have a job and start hunting for it. I'm not surprised to heard that it's not very old, because it looks like it's made just couple years ago because of the great design quality. Most of the old vinyl toys are just mostly cheap looking toys with lesser quality such as limited details and colors (correct me if I'm wrong).

Extremely cool Rat Bat Spider from Angry Red Planet
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Unknown Primate

" Perhaps he dimly wonders why, there is no other such as I. "

Man that RatBatSpider is awesome! I kick myself hard for passi ng up a beautiful HUGE resin kit a few years ago for only 50 bucks! This thing was like 2ft wide and over a foot tall with a big base. I forgrt the maker now, but they also did small resin kits of the Brainiac and Aztec Mummy which were also cheap(in fact they still show up on ebay regularly).
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

IMO the greatest monster toy ever created.   Surprisingly he works.  and smells like new.    My collecting is all down hill from here.

It's a freestanding counter piece, that would match up to a long case, a 2x2x2 cube (*at*)4feet tall overall. Mirrored back with a sliding side door. Plus an adjustable shelf inside. I thought it would be good for smaller monster knick knacks.

Sounds cool!

Nothing vintage here but I cleaned up on some 75% Halloween clearance, mostly at Wal-mart but a few things from Target as well!

Closer look; Some of this stuff will stay as is while some of it will be projects that I have to work on!

I'll use the Scream costume as a static scarecrow, there are 11 black roses for set dressing, 11 pieces of little fencing that I want to use in the gutter (think it'll really stand out with the green lights illuminating it and fog rolling around it), just wish I had found more!  A thing of guts that you can pump blood thru, no idea how I'm going to use it?!  2 rolls of "barbed wire", a flaming cauldron, two sets of shackles and a thing of chain, another mini-blacklight, a witches hat that illuminates the silhouette of a witch face underneath it when it goes off.  2 packs of mini-tombstones (6 in each) that I'll use to build a grandfather clock (not my idea but saw it on Halloween forum).  Some glow sticks, blacklight spider web and pumpkin strobe lights.  Lastly 3 large tombstones with blinking eyes and two that the eyes and RIP light up on.

Went hunting at a Halloween Express today that was still emptying inventory, but came up with nothing. Lotsa stuff, but nothing grabbed me.
