(Don't worry UMA members are not required , or generally expected, to ever really grow up.)

Yeah, personally, I'm 56 going on 10.

Cool find at a local swap meet.
Don't know what they are, but they are somehow related to the 1960's trolls.

They definitely have the same opthamologist as my 60s Yukk (below right).

I dig that Yukk, don't think I've seen one of those before either. Is that a hanna barbera mouseketeer?

Radioactive Rod Whitenack

Here's another early Halloween find that I like a lot. I found this "My Pet Ghost" at the grocery store today for $9.99. It's cool little example of the classic Pepper's Ghost illusion.

So she gave you images of dead people and a double dose of the head guy in Hell?

How comforting.

it's just fun halloween stuff. She don't put any more thought into it than that. She got a good deal. $15 bucks for everything.

Monster Bob

This just arrived in the mail yesterday, from my new pallie actor Glenn Taranto, 'Gomez Addams' from the Family Channel's THE NEW ADDAMS FAMILY, TV show. His inscription, "Stay Loose!" was something that original TV Gomez John Astin said to me years ago, and I got quite a kick out of it. I guess I have come full circle!

That's awesome Monster Bob, I loved the New Addams Family.  Wish it had lasted longer.  I check every so often to see if it's been released on DVD.  That photo is fantastic.

I dig that Yukk, don't think I've seen one of those before either.

In the era of gonks and other fluffy funfair creatures, my Yukk was sold in a wonderful, now long-gone, souvenir, giftware and ceramic ornament store in the old Imperial Arcade in the Sydney CBD - late 1960s.

Yukks were essentially balls of brightly coloured acrylic "fur" - the fabric was glued to very squat plastic legs, with bulbous "Mr Potato Head"-like eyes poked into the core. They also featured long, thin, leathery arms. My Yukk was blue, and I recently rediscovered him in a box in the garage. They also came in crimson, and Dayglo orange, yellow and green, if I remember correctly. My younger brother's Yukk actually sported an actual mismatched "Mr Potato Head" eye (after an encounter with our pet dog).

QuoteIs that a hanna barbera mouseketeer?

I don't think so. My mouse appears to be holding an epee handle. I used to add a blade with aluminum foil and a pin. My brothers had similar flocked toys: a squirrel (also with epee handle) and a pacifier-sucking baby bear. We did call the three of them Yippee, Yappee and Yahooey, after the Hanna Barbera dog muskeeter characters.

The mouse ended up losing nearly all of his flocking - either poor glue or perhaps a moth attack. Many years later, I saw an exact replica in a cake shop display window, mounted on a plastic base as a novelty birthday cake-topper. I couldn't help but buy it. Now my brothers' squirrel and bear are long gone, but my Mouse #2 is still here!

Creepy- There is a 2 DVD consisting of several episodes on a UK DVD set, of course in PAL. I just ordered one. I spoke to Glenn Taranto about the possibility of a USA "complete" release, and he seemed to think the notion may be full of hang ups, music rights among them.

Found these at Target...their called Slug Zombies....I believe there is 16 to the set.  They look really kool though!
