"The Walking Dead" Season 3 Starts on Sunday!

Z.H., how many years do you think the series will run?  Or anyone else heard what they anticipate how long it will go.  I've heard they have enough material for ten years.

Well the comic is on issue 107 but I suppose it all depends on how quickly they go thru that material or how quickly audiences lose interest!  Also the show is creating it's own identity adding characters and changing scenarios from the comic somewhat.  My guess is the show will last around 6 seasons (8 tops) but who knows in the end!?  It is only a matter of time before money becomes a big factor for AMC to continue the series especially the longer a cast member last from season to season.....the good thing there....the greedy ones can always be killed off!!

Well the show is, as you noted,  The Walking Dead and not The Running Dead, I could see The Running Dead having way more action! 

Featuring zombies with the runs would almost certainly guarantee the SHOW would quickly be DEAD. . Seriously though, I really like The Walking Dead show. There is much drama, but there just about has to be. If the story wasn't focused on the human survivors the viewers would have nobody to identify with. Beginning to end action and gore would quickly wear thin. Plot builds to climax. Basic storytelling.

i like the show but the music on there lately i think has ruined the tone and seems to be becoming a trend.

I thought is was a great episode.  With you smegs, glad there was no governer.  I will be glad when he is out of the picture.

Wow! I always wondered what happened to Morgan and his son. Now I know! And yes, a break from the Gov. was a nice bonus. Good episode!

Seriously? This show gets worse and worse week after week. The Governor is such a ridiculous character. What is with the whistling all of a sudden? Maybe next week he will start to tap dance in a creepy style.

I struggle to find aspects of the show that I still enjoy. The so called drama is just terrible acting, plain and simple. The only time zombies appear is to get a character to move on to the next drawn out conversation or stalemate. I watch this show just out of amusement and hope that every now and then I will see a cool zombie death.

If anyone else shares my sentiment regarding this terrible, terrible excuse for a show then I recommend you follow The Mocking Dead on Twitter. They do a live tweet during the show that is pretty damn hilarious.

Maybe you should check out The Vampire Diaries on the CW?!  It may be more your speed!   

Seriously though I just don't know what people are expecting from a zombie tv show!?  Personally I don't find the acting bad (and I've seen my share of bad acting!!) and although I may not like every single character or I may find some dialog hokey or whatever, I still look forward to the show!!  Only 2 episodes left this season!

I don't see the show going anywhere in the next few years so you'd better make your exit now instead of wasting your time!  Maybe put in your favorite zombie movies instead of watching The Walking Dead!

As I mentioned, my motivation for watching is rooted in satire. I LOL multiple times during this so called "drama". But yes, I do DVR this show to watch when there is nothing else on.

Maybe I am just destined to become a writer. I need to raise the bar as with the Honey Boo Boo South Park episode.

Did anyone catch the "celebrity" zombie appearance last night on The Walking Dead?!  As soon as he came out of the door I had a strong sense of deja vu!  Now I'm wondering if this is the first time they've done this or if there have been other famous zombie appearances?!

Not a huge spoiler or anything but I've included an alert nonetheless, in case you want to rewatch the show for yourself to spot the famous zombie!!
