Someone REALLY wanted this Baby Frankenstein Bank.  Both bids were from the same bidder.

As much as I like the Baby (all of the items pictured in this thread are in my collection), I could not bring myself to pay this much for one of these ceramic banks.

Ouch!

My daughter, who collects vintage Disney World items, recently found a very similar Mickey backscratcher from around the same period. The plastic on Mickey is very thick and heavy too. It's the same as the one shown here from an ebay auction:

I wonder if they were made by the same manufacturer?

Baby Frankenstein went away because kids would abuse the actress in the costume.  I think the last straw came when a kid jammed a pencil  into her ear requiring medical attention.

Where did that information come from?

Most definitely.  Look at the shape of the top of the handle.  Both figures are standing on identical bases.  I'd say they came from the same source.  Makes me wonder what other venues they made similar back scratchers for.

Yeah that base looks like it may have originated with Mickey first, since it's the basic, iconic shape of his head. But I do wonder if they made other characters/properties in this same shape.

John Naulin.  Former head of Don Post r+d in the 70s .   He helped run the make-up show at the time also.

Very cool.  Thanks!

I always wondered about he small size of the Baby.  I pictured a jockey-sized guy in the suit.  Never occurred to me that Frank's kid was played by a woman.

Monster Mike

There's a keychain on eBay but it looks more like someone converted the button into one.

Actually I went back and looked at earlier pics on topic and see it's legit.

I wonder if it was one of those jumbo souvenir pencils?

Monster Mafia

There were some interesting baby Frankenstein items recently sold on eBay. A baby bib and 2 different belt buckles.
