That display box looks better in blue.  Too bad they weren't made in blue or purple instead of red.

Those are awesome!
I love stuff that glows!
What did you use to make the molds?

Oh I've been willing to make them for some time.  But I haven't been able to get my hands on a Frankenstein. :(

I made these molds/glow resin busts years ago. I even made a Universal Monster Army display (that's why this "store display" is blue and not red)....

(sorry! I couldn't get the images to display properly) :/

Ah, those were the good old days. ;)

That is about as cool as can be.

The blue is really cool, but the "authentic"look of your display scared me! Looks eerily authentic.

The corners aren't die-cut and you can tell when cardboard has been hand folded, as opposed to machine folded. The color always cracks.

Oh, I know, but it's 95% "there". A little cutting and airbrushing and that would be scary real, in a photo, anyway.

That was the first round mock up.  I had created another one that is lying around somewhere that had the rounded cut corners and didn't have much cracking.  It looked much more "real".  But these are paper mounted on cardboard and hand cut/folded.

As for the glow resin, I used clear Smooth-On clear resin with a blue glow, green glow and yellow glow tints.  I also created some white ones (pictured).

If I can ever find a flippin' Frankenstein sharpener (for around 300 bucks - I'm not paying 500-600 bucks!), I'll go ahead and cast that and create some sets.  PM me if you have a Frankenstein laying around. :P

If Terry OK's it, I'll even create some of the displays - for a giveaway or something. That was my original intent.

Oh and thanks to Mike for fixing my pictures!  I was having some issues with the links last night.  Been a while since I posted. :)

If I had looked a little farther, I'd have seen that Ghost posted them last night!

Wow! Is that your display? If so, have you considered trying to find one example of each sharpener in each of three different colours? The orange, green and purple ones are rad wild!

I agree! And I just love the blue glow-in-the-dark Wolfman:

The sharpeners should have been made as glow-in-the-dark pieces originally!

The blue glow is my favorite, as well.

I have the original sharpeners (in various colors) and display.  Just can't find the Frankenstein sharpener. (cue: http://www.sadtrombone.com/classic)

Just went down to 0% after somebody pointed out it was blue (instead of red)! ;D
